Uhh, sorry guys, but this isn't something I'm prepared to jump in on. The complexity of the decisions that need to be made in the position the civ is in in this game is just ahead of what I have the time and inclination to do.
@Krill
Sorry about the fake out, but you'll need to find someone else :/

GJ, I've logged in. I know what is involved to a far greater degree than you. It's not what I was under the impression I was undertaking, and it's not something I'm in a position where I'm willing to undertake, given the time commitment involved.
To some degree this comes down to how I approach a game.

Maybe we could just switch Ventessel over to the AI?

What are the other options? Kill the game?

Alright, that prompts a public statement: I'd hate to see this game killed after I've spent about one bloody hour per day on it -- as I promised initially when asked by Krill -- while going out of my way to avoid causing pauses. I'd rather have an AI turnover than that, yeah.
I'll just say that I'm annoyed with Ventessel for vanishing without a trace, but far more so with CML, for reasons I won't disclose here (it has to do with Tectomoc's situation as I've been informed of it). Let's just say he shouldn't even have signed up with the kind of effort he invested (that is, not even being able to run the game), in which case Yuri would have been available here instead.
I find absolutely no fault with Adrien or Q for not wanting to take over.
That said, Ventessel appears to have played his turns in under five minutes each, at least for as long as Civstats remembers. There's no minimal time or thought I'd expect a sub to invest, as long as the turn rolls at all.
Edit: I'll also repeat my hope for Ruff to be available for subbing, but that was said in March.

No objection with moving Ventessel over to AI here -- it's better than killing or even stalling the game.

If we can't get a sub then AI is the only other option that keeps the game rolling. I am OK with that, I would prefer a real sub but AI isn't going to do much that is any different to what random people could expect from Ventessel anyway.

Agreed. The game is pretty fairly close to dying right now, and we need something to stop that. IMHO, I don't think an AI vs human in Ventessel's position would have any noticeable effect on the game's balance. To keep things fair, we should simply agree that any deals with Ventessel-AI are forbidden.
