Actually, the desert hill mine completes this turn and I'm going to work that, because somehow it cuts the worker production time by one turn. I have absolutely no clue why. It just does. So yeah, worker due at end of next turn there.
In other news, both purchased elven settlers are ready there will be a new city here :
and here
shortly. Our own settler went on the move this turn, I think I'll settle desert hill / floodplain site first, easier to get up, more control over the area and will be able to hand over improved cows once we go to settle the sugar. We don't really need that one happy yet.
Sareln also offered orcish and elven maps for 200g, I'll take him on that.

That's a really low city count...

Yes, we suck.
The worker completes in 1 turn working the corn or the mine, I just checked. The display in the city window is messed up, but it's 1 turn either way. Please work the corn instead (and I hope you're farming it, I don't know why you moved the worker west into the city instead of northwest directly towards the corn...we need that corn farmed soon for Deruptus).
Sareln's map is total awesomesauce. I can see an obvious dotmap arrangement for the west, to shore up our border with Amelia.
This is a rotated map, the bottom is east. You can see Amelia to the west at the top there. Four potential border city locations all on hills. If we're fortunate we can grab a couple more locations further up, taking potentially the rice and corn for a second Deruptus and the gems which will be very good obviously. Several possible locations for those cities depending on whether we want to be vulnerable to cultists or not. If we get the horse location we are likely to get the gold further south (left) of it, since it'll be hard to access from the other side.
And for the south city, I think we should move it 1W, to get those grassland tiles that would otherwise be wasted. Grassland is at a premium on this map, although it's not nearly as bad as FFH6. Alternatively we could place it further east:
2-3 farmable tiles, with the cow, and the deer later when we tech Hunting. Plus reagents for commerce and health with a herbalist, which the capital can build since it's cheaper than an aqueduct. And this lets us scout the other location a bit more and see which placement is better. I definitely think we should take this more eastern location first instead.
I see a Law Node in Amelia's territory. Looks like he's going to build the ToD soon if she hasn't yet. And I see a Death Node in Ravus's territory that was likely the Sepulcher before.

Eh, the western city location is probably better at 1E of the sheep. Those tiles in the south are probably desert based upon the terrain east of it (these artificial bands of desert and hills are everywhere now that we can see so much of the map), so by moving it 1N we probably won't lose any useful tiles, but we'll grab a couple hills that would otherwise be wasted. Can't be sure until we actually scout that spot of course, which is why we should plant the eastern location for now.
I can do some extensive scouting once I'm in the game, since I'll spawn with Basium and six angels (and a settler). Scouting pairs of angels should not face too much difficulty from the barbarians, and do that scouting that we ostensibly should have done nearly a hundred turns ago.

Whelps, Ravus built Prophecy of Ragnarok and founded AV. This could be interesting.
Barbarian kill team in the south again.

11t to fanaticism ( this will drop ) + time required to build the wonder itself. Hard to evaluate this at the moment.
