If the kerfuffle in the tech thread is any indication, NS7 and Luddicator are going to make peace. As a weak rival with a actual land border with them, I expect we're going to lose all the cities he wanted to extort from us and more. So, start whipping military in the outlying islands. Shame we got bogged down before we could take Sian's capital.
For the record, I'm inclined to side with NS7. He offered Peace to Luddicator for Cities OR Peace to Luddicator for Gold. Due to the vagaries of the turn order, Luddicator received an offer for a white peace. Can't blame Luddicator for wanting that better deal though and preferring WYSIWYG.
Yes, I agree the peace deal between NS7 and Luddicator doesn't look good for us. I posted in the tech thread, basically I agree that NS7 should get something, but don't see how it can be agreed without diplo negotiations
T107
Wars ended as suddenly as they started. Our war with Sian is the only one still going. Hope we're not going to be attacked We captured Code Geass without losses, although we won two lucky battles, one at 30%, the other at 25%. Love Hina was defended by a Longbow and 3 Pikes (one at half health), and with almost all of our 'phracts wounded, I went for the safer option (Code Geass had 3 Pikes, one at half health as well, a Chariot and a Warrior) Unfortunately, our guerilla Chariot was killed before it could pillage Sian's iron. With Luddicator signing peace with Sian, iron is going to remain unpillaged for a while Mackoti is going to beat us to Economics, he already can research it, we still need at least 3 turns to finish Education

Got this I will accept unless you have strong objections Sian attacked our 'phracts outside Code Geass, killed 2, lost 1 Pike. The city is not in danger of falling back to him. My main concern is that amassing the force to attack Love Hina will take time. But oh well, let's be patient, at least we surely outproduce him
Accepted OB from Mackoti. Moved units. Ended turn
Sian has a chance to take Code Geass back if he moves all units out of Love Hina and basically gives it up. I'm game for such trade. In any case we're producing 3 'phracts per turn, I'm sure Sian won't be able to keep up, and we will capture Love Hina as soon as our troops heal and reinforcements arrive I'm looking at settling the island next to Sian. Like this I'm sure Luddicator are also eyeing this island, so I'd like to settle it asap. Eventually I would also like to refound the city we razed at the start of the war (its ruins are still there), but I believe you can found cities 2 tiles apart if they're on different landmasses yuris125 Wrote:I would also like to refound the city we razed at the start of the war (its ruins are still there), but I believe you can found cities 2 tiles apart if they're on different landmasses This is correct see....roughly everybody's stone cities in 26.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Sian got to Guilds and built the first Knight. Not sure it's a good idea, he's not in a position to counter-attack, and Knights are rather useless on defence. I once again pillaged the road between Love Hina and Code Geass to make life more difficult for him. We might lose an unpromoted 'phract, but Sian not being able to reach Code Geass from Love Hina in 1 turn even with 2-movers is a huge deal Revision of our forces: 6 wounded 'phracts in Code Geass, one healthy on the hill, one just pillaged the road, four are on the way to join the forces. By the time the Code Geass heals, we will have about 12 on the battlefield. He might pull something off though, some kind of getting out of the city and killing a 'phract here and there. We still need 2 or 3 turns of healing, we'll see if we're in position to attack then We're just short of finishing Education this turn, but we're not in a hurry to get it. The good news is, I confused Economics with Banking in Mackoti's can research tab; he can research Banking, not Economics. Maybe we still have a shot at that GM NS7 have Gunpowder. They also have a couple of Maces in a threatening position on our border. But I guess we're still not worrying about them. If they attack us, we're dead whatever we do. They have an intimidating stack of Maces and Cats in the middle of their empire, which can reach us in 3 turns, and there's nothing we will be able to do against it if it's thrown our way
T110
Lost two >70% battles trying to kill Sian's out of city units (a Knight and a Pike) We really shouldn't lose these battles, damn it! Taking Love Hina is going to be difficult as it is The good news is, the Great [strike]General[/strike]Medic has made it to the battlefield. City of Iconium (the Moai city) switched to 'phract production, and Mai Hime will be ready to start military builds very soon too. Depending on how many units Sian builds, I estimate that we will need around 5 turns to amass the numbers capable to strike Love Hina Education done, Economics should be ready in 5 turns
T111
Sian got 8 (!) Pikes in Love Hina now. Will be a long while before we can attack it. Guess we should try going around and threatening other cities Traded maps with Mackoti. Looks like there is a lot of land still available for settling after Astronomy. The usual question: is this land worth obsoleting Colossus? In any case, researching Optics for exploration after Economics could be a good idea |
