For those of you that dont' know the game, Ft Zeakden is the final battle of chapter one, where you (spoilers)

Kill that asshole Algus after wanting to from the moment you first met him. Somehow this makes the name seem even more appropriate.

This is either game over or I get to whip a spear next turn.



Considering how the day has gone I wouldn't be surprised if there were enough workers in the fog to road the forest and the hill so his chariots can hit my city.

Anyone want to play? I either need some time to vent (and hold up the game) or someone else should take over

I'm guessing that spike in the power graph I took for BW was really a pair of chariot? That's pretty clever if intentionally done.





I tried to find a goods pic of Zeakden blowing up but the images weren't explanatory enough and the youtube videos made you suffer through watching them play the battle first

I was having this debate with Noble earlier today. I was trying to advocate for pushing out as many units as possible. (This was my initial reaction when he founded the city, and I'm starting to think more and more that I should have gone with my gut and done this because the game was really truly over as soon as he planted his 2nd city. Man, just say that out loud and realize how depressing that is. My game was over when he planted his 2nd city. How un-fun is that? )

Noble is advocating that I should build up and try to develop, and be a thorn in Commodore's side. I didn't have the right retort for that, and even started to like the idea. But when I got the save today I realized the fatal flaw with that thinking:

He's still pushing the attack.

Your plant was really good, and with religion was very viable. I don't think your game was over with that city. Your only mistake was pushing double axes to be aggressive, rather than an axe spear for defence, with the knowledge that he had had an hus for some while. But tough break on reading the demos wrong, and I probably would have wanted to go on he attack too with double axes even worse luck is only India could have called that mistake.

I have huge sympathy there with reading demos. I read them wrong in pbem61 on bob and let his scout live because I thought he had a spear out as I was using vanilla solider counts and not bts ones

But with the thorn in commodores side comment, are you wanting to just play spoiler now?
