I made a gut-move and founded the next city where you suggested originally.

We founded our sixth city to keep an eye out on the peninsula, name TBD. Also, that's fish. It's not much, but it's a new resource. With all of these copies of Sheep, it's like manna from heaven.
Fortifying this city, eventually, will protect the peninsula. Also suspect that we should be building the second WB in Lodi instead of the new city, and should chop that Forest into infra. Either Barracks for pop, or Granary for a one-pop whip.
On the top, you can also see our Galley preparing to head out to settle the islands. In the south, our praet lopped off one of the Archers, so only two remaining. With no OB, we should be a lock to get this city, unless something weird happens with boats.
Still think we need more scouting generally.
We're at 20 bpt at 50% breakeven, here's hoping that the island and Currency help us with that. Still haven't managed to get our hands on Alphabet yet, though.

I'll admit, I'm definitely losing my sense of where we're going in the game.
We built a Barracks in Marengo, borders pop T88. Probably too late, but hey.
We're soon going to settle a border fort towards SD, currently garrisoned with one Spear. Will probably need either a border pop or another city to prevent SD from planting a stack on the hill.
We're preparing to whip a Library in Toulon, I presume.
I presume we're going Metal Casting (Forges), then Currency or Monotheism as the situation calls for it?
We seem to be going through a period of building Workers and praets to protect the new frontiers of the empire, as planned. Here's hoping SD doesn't have a stack of HAs to ruin our day.
Also, have an idea for the sixth city name?

Err, looks like I set f.lux to Greyscale. I didn't realize that it'd actually make the images monochrome.

Our now 8-city empire. I renamed the cities just now. Once we capture Sakae and plant our frontline fort city, we should be at 10 and start rabidly cottaging. Happiness is starting to become an issue. I will contact gavagai and TBW about tech trading. A lot will depend on what techs we expect to trade. We need one of monarchy, currency, or calendar (in order of preference last to first).
If I do not get a response, I think we should go for calendar directly ourselves.
The island can get another city, which is excellent for when we get currency.
The praetorian is healing, will attack when sakae is size 2. Alternatively, since I see no food (maybe there is a fish in the south?) we could just burn it, although giving up two decent production tiles is painful. Not sure. Capture gold will be great.

Why Calendar? I might be grossly misseeing something, but from what I can see, we only have Spices and Bananas for Calendar resources. Or are we targeting the MoM?
We are at about 23 bpt breakeven at 40%. That island trade route is working wonders.
Also hope we can start cranking MP Chariots so we can move our bronze units to the front lines.
I think once the praet heals, we should try to move them south a little to see if there's food south of Sakae.
I just hope we can get defenders in Cumae (now Friedland), since we're already touching SD's borders. He roads 2N1W of Friedland, brings in a single CR Axe, we are done for. Sure, this city is a speedbump anyway, but still. 100 hammers is 100 hammers.
Tech, demos, power:
Catching up to SD's monster food/MFG lead. Hopefully that last in GNP is culture, or 0% of binary research, or something. Everyone's on roughly the same level tech-wise.
It looks like Raskol and Cairo traded techs. We probably should've figured that things would have devolved into two tech trading blocs...

Good land down south on the island. Clams are decent enough food.
Found food and ice down here. If there was no food, the praet would have auto-razed. Otherwise, we wait for size 2 and capture the city. Then, the worker will come down there, mine the copper, chop forest for a work boat, badabing-badaboom. This should place us at 10 cities, with the settler coming out of Abukir. I think that one should be settled on the island as well.
Demos looking sad regarding GNP. However, the library at the capital will be of great help. Need more cottages, but we don't have too many rivers. I'm beginning to prefer a colossus over a HG. We could get very decent commerce that way.
Increasingly thinking we played incorrectly, without sufficient aggression, but judging by the overall slow tech pace, I think we'll be fine militarily for another 40 turns.

Yeah, island is good. Alternatively, we could lock down our border with SD with that hill frontline fort, but your call.
Colossus is a good idea. No one else has MC, so we'd probably get it if we don't faff around, and if Raskol doesn't have MC. If he Oracled it, we're already too late, since he's Industrious with a huge head start. Maybe we could lean on Gavagai to ask if Raskol has the tech.
How will we build the Forge, though? That thing is expensive. (Or was it changed in the mod?)
Who would we have directed our aggression at?
Agree re: military. It'll take a while for anyone to get Machinery and hard obsolete our praets (not up to date on the mod changes, though).
I still think things are okay, at least in the short-med term. We're about to become the biggest empire, and our money problems will vanish if we decide to forgo the wonders and just go for Currency. Assuming we don't get dogpiled or something...

I have a stupid idea: what about the 'Mids? They get the 50% stone bonus on this version of the mod, still don't get the Industrious bonus so Raskol doesn't have an edge on us, and Gavagai, who would usually cheese the thing with an Oracle->MC Forge->Engineer, doesn't have MC. Plus he just got a GS to bulb something, so no GE cheese for him. Plus it synergizes amazingly well with our Forums.
The thing costs 334 hammers with Stone, 286 with Stone+OR. Arcole makes 17 hpt at Size 5, and has 3 forests to chop for 90 hammers. With OR, we can finish the thing in 196/17 = 11.5 turns -> (rounding) 12 turns. Since we pop borders at a flat T88 (T89 if we revolt to OR), we can finish the thing T101.
