I'm afraid as President of this team, I must threaten a veto on the bill proposed by my peers named 'The National Comprehensive Warrior Rush Allocation Plan'

Who elected you president?
Oh well. First they take away the Pie in the Sky, then the Pork. Let it be known my constituents from the Bloody Bloody Murder district will not be pleased! :neenernee

I did, I conducted a secret ballot which was so secret that neither of you knew it was happening. Therefore 1 vote to me and 2 abstentions, therefore I win
Turn Rolled
Moved all units as instructed, Novice will be fully healed next turn and ready to scout again.
What Banshee found last turn:
Genesis
We are now researching at 12 beakers per turn!!!
Demographics
Only 2 more teams to play before next turn
Foreign News
India jumped into a lead, probably researched BW.
2 cities at Size 4 now.

Democracy at its finest.
I think that I'll refrain from making any stupid comments for the time being. Everything looks pretty straightforward for now. I'll try recalculating our tech pace later today. Unless I don't.

Ok, turn played.
Spent a lot of effort/time rejigging things.
We have a micro plan. How terribly Sulllla of me. Now, my diagrams aren't anywhere near as pretty as his but here goes:
There's a lot of info here but i'll try to summarise.
India built Stonehenge. They went BW first and chopped it out coupled with their industrious trait. Hence the large score jump.
I have marked out Speaker/Banshee's movements. These movements allow us safety and cover for both worker and settler whilst getting Exodus asap. In 4 turns time, when the settler is out, we will slow build a warrior whilst growing to size 3. We will swap from the plains hill mine to the grassland farm. This means we will both grow/produce another warrior in 5 turns. This warrior can then be used to scout a bit more eastwardas the land there looks extremely fertile. I 'wasted' one turn of Novice's movement but felt it was necessary to give less chance of barbs spawning in that area (they can't spawn 2 tiles from a unit- even in the fog) meaning Banshee has a much easier time.
All this is variable though if barbs appear in the land between Genesis and Exodus in the next turn or two.
At the end of the plan Banshee's priorities will be pasturing the pig and then chopping out another worker in Genesis. I would propose that Exodus would probably start with a worker also.
Thoughts?

If you can make Banshee do all that, you are my hero.
More seriously, probably sounds good.
Exodus: Worker First.
6 turns of production at: +3 (pigs) = 18/60.
4 turns of Pasture > +6 = 42/60
+chop (20).
About 11 turns for the Worker. Very rough estimate. I actually have to run, now. I still wish that it was diplomatically feasible to settle on our hill.
Hey, can we actually send a letter to Mali about that? You said at worst we could back off and say "well, OK, it's not as good, but we can go here." We might as well ask, since there's a very small chance they'll agree. Very, very small. Just say "it's the best spot we could find so far."

"Message to Mal Wrote:Emperor Capac,
We are aware this is our second message in quick succession but i wonder if you will be available to talk later today. I'm thinking somewhere between 9.30pm-12.30 GMT.
There is a critical matter i would like to discuss with you and due to the response times needed, would prefer to chat in this method. If this is feasible please send a quick reply e-mail and i will make myself available.
If not, then that is understandable as it is short notice.
Your Friends,
Kyan
Kysit's Periwinkles
Chat will be a lot easier. I can be very persuasive altho this is a hell of an ask! I'll try my best.

Also, your sim was based on the city producing no food or production? Which wouldn't be the case.

Why discuss the city now? We want to wait until we have a settler on the way. What if they went worker/settler and we've given them a great city spot before we can settle it ourselves!
We show them the marble before we have a settler there to bag it, we run the risk of losing a settler race and bang goes any chance of the Oracle and we've wasted a lot of time.
DO NOT TELL THEM ABOUT WHERE WE PLAN TO SETTLE!
We need to curtail the moves and this is a whopper!

Well Swiss did mention they had circled their land starting east so they would VERY likely have already seen the marble. Their capital was size 3 and they are getting BW same turn as us. There's no chance they went settler first. I am 100% confident they can't beat us to the spot if we want it. I can't see them being happy with the hill but it's worth an ask. As Whosit says- we can at least then look nice by conceding and moving 2 tiles further east. The 'desert' site is actually on our side of the middle ground between the two civs. The divide falls exactly between our two proposed sites.
I still heavily favour yellow dot as we can play it off as a 'nice' move diplomatically whilst securing a spot or near the same quality. It also makes our empire much more compact for easier defence. The difference between the two reminds me HEAVILY of a certain other civ in a certain other game if you get my drift. They got greedy for two more tiles (exact same as us) and look what happened.
