ooh, and apparently i'm at 29/30 xp for a gg right now. Settling him in the capital will let me build 5 xp units. shock vultures would be really dominant right now. Alternatively, a super medic would give me the heroic epic, if i can't get it normally. Tough decision.

stratch that, just 28/30 after the reload (thankfully, i can save the city!). Killing the chariot will put me at 29/30, but it'll be a few turns before i can cross the threshold.

So, in the meantime, I've got my capital building a settler. It will only take 3 turns, and it can settle by the ruins of Lupu, to block off the land.

I didn't think I'd get enough xp for killing that chariot with a spear, but it gave me 2- just enough! I'm going to settle him, because I'm pretty sure I can get the heroic epic with another unit.

My scout is gone. He got cornered by a chariot, so there was no chance for him to survive. But, with his last move, he spotted a catapult in Mackoti's catapult. (last turn he saw an axe there). So he's going cats/axes? Let's see how those do against shock vultures!


In the south, he retreated the chariot that was guarding this city, so I moved in.

99.9% admittedly, stranger things have happened. But I don't think I've ever seen a spear lose to a chariot in an even fight like that.

99.1%, actually: 8.0 str vs. 4.0 strength, which is the best odds (ignoring first strikes and damage) you can have and still get 2XP.

Btw, since you're here- I'm planning on building the colossus in 2 cities for the fail gold. It's worth 2.75 gold per hammer, which admittedly is pretty abusive. But this seems like almost the only situation where you can really milk a wonder like this- oracling metal casting, so I have a huge window where no one else can build the colossus. Most other wonders, if I tried to do this, someone else would build it first.
