Azza is off exploring, so he and Jowy won't meet. Cornflakes will meet Jowy.

Jowy, btw, is just blatantly scouting us. he goes to the edge of our land and back. He will bear watching

Still am not sure if I should close borders with cornflakes or not. I don't think I like him being able to see into my lands or having any real insight into what I'm doing.

Fortunately, M*A*S*H makes 15 hammers now, so can 2 turn archers and nearly 2/3 turn dogs and spears. I'll be able to get it up to 16 or 17 pretty easily.

next turn, i get Alphabet;

I hope to get monarchy from 2metraninja, iron working from azza and I'll see if Commodore will trade currency for a couple of small techs, trusting that I'll make it up later. Also,hopefully, whoever has CoL won't have alpha and will need something else I have. Oh, and won't trade it to Jowy for alpha

I offered Alpha to azza for Iron working and to 2metra for monarchy. I also offered it to cornflakes for CoL - I doubt he'll accept it, but who knows?

No one has HBR, so I'm wondering if cornflakes power is all from impis? if so, he has a lot of them.



He's at 134K soldiers.

he's got sailing, hunting, mining, AH, Wheel, math and BW, which is 34K, figure 13K from population and 3 ikhanda - that's 53K

that's 81K in units. 20 impis, 13 axes, etc. That's a huge freaking military. *sigh*

corflakes offered Col for alpha and some gold. That seemed reasonable, considering that if I didn't take it, jowy probably would. Never like giving the guy who's costs are probably shot to hell gold, but getting CoL is good.

Now, the question is, do we swtich to Caste now or wait? I think wait until we are a little larger...

I had offered TT priesthood for Poly (which I have half-researched). He countered with poly & archery. I countered with just archery.

if he counters again with both, I'll probably take it. having poly is better than not.

hey - got a question for lurkers on simulataneous pitboss etiquette:

I'm hitting end turn when I think I'm done - but I'll go back in and change tech or builds (this turn) accept trades afterwards. Is that ok? (other than while at war), or am I basically cheating and pissing people off?

So, some thoughts about cornflakes:

Since he doesn't have HBR, his forces are impis, chariots and axes, none of which are all that frightening to us. Yes, he has a lot of them, but then, he has to defend against 2 people he's already attacked and who, presumably, would love to kill his units, plus he next to commodore, so has to defend there, too.

Maybe I'm worrying about him attacking too much.

turn rolled over night - I got HR and IW. TT insisted on getting both archey and priesthood for Poly, so i gave in - then popped up asking alpha for monotheism, which seems somewhat shortsighted of him - I mean, squabbling over 90 beakers, then asking for 300?

that said - OR will be pretty useful to me in a few turns, particularly since I have a religion.\

Ii went back and offered it back to him.
