When I had seen that comic for the first time, I actually had to google the punchline to get the humor because, you know, the game referred to is still on my list of games to play sometimes in the future. Looks like I'm that guy, too. 
(Playing Star Control II at the moment, by the way... :rolleyes

I did play all alone with no crew and converted the whole map to English cities on the C64 way back in the '80s, but that's no longer possible with the PC version. So if you come up with a good variant idea, let me know...
