I can make a map for you guys if you do set up another game.
Tatan, in the early game, you need about 2 minutes to DL, move and upload: you use the rest of the time to think about how to move, and what to build. The time length gradually increases as you have more shit to do each turn. I generally took up to 15 minutes to play a long turn in PBEM5B, with 40 plus cities, 70 workers but no military. It gets longer still when you have a war on and have to think a lot during each turn.
The most time consuming part is probably the diplomacy truth be told.
Current games (All): RtR: PB80 Civ 6: PBEM23
Ended games (Selection): BTS games: PB1, PB3, PBEM2, PBEM4, PBEM5B, PBEM50. RB mod games: PB5, PB15, PB27, PB37, PB42, PB46, PB71. FFH games: PBEMVII, PBEMXII. Civ 6: PBEM22 Games ded lurked: PB18

The key to the time investment is being able to dedicate a length of time every day. It's not how much time, it's the consistency of it. And how much effort you want to put into diplomacy, as Krill said.
So, who all's signing up to play?
Cyneheard
Serdoa
ad hoc
Selrahc
Sylon? EDIT - Not interested.
novice?
Tatan (tentative)
Maximum of six, so if novice and Tatan want to make the commitment, we're ready to start figuring out all of our rules.

Cyneheard: I would be ok with NTT as well as limited TT. NTT though makes it probably easier to find more players as that means less of a time commitment - diplomacy is a little easier if you not always have to find someone to trade your tech because you otherwise fall back.
So, I am surely in, not matter what is decided

i'll be happy with no tech trading, at least it gets away with artificial record keeping.

Ok, so the consensus is for NTT (Consider this a vote in favor). This means we're just experimenting with leader selection, which is fine with me.
That leaves 5 of us. I say we give others 24 hours to sign up, and then make sure we have all of our settings right?
Other things to decide:
Map: My vote: Mapmaker's discretion. (Anyone object to Krill doing it, since he's volunteered his services?)
Difficulty Level: My vote: Noble.
Barbs: My vote: Regular barbs.
Spies: No Spies, Limited Missions, Anything Goes (The No Espionage setting is simply broken, and not an option). By Limited Missions, I think the vote would be "do this first", and then decide which missions to ban. At a minimum, switching civics and religion should be banned. My vote: Limited Missions.
Game Speed: I vote Quick; especially with NTT, this seems right for a PBEM.

Things are going to get pretty hectic at the end of august for me. I can't really start on another PBEM.
If someone needs/wants a dedicated lurker though I can help out.

Fair enough. Ok, four of us. I think 5 or 6 would work a lot better in general (especially for the reverse draft). Any ideas on who to try to recruit?
