ded-lurker, DL, or Dead Lurker if one's being facetious, is basically a team-mate who only reads that player's thread. So I can participate fully in the discussions, moves, etc., as long as Maniac allows me to. I prefer DL-ing to fully lurking if it's a game I'm genuinely interested in (so, say, PB6, I don't want to ded-lurk b/c I just want to watch all sides of the Charlie Foxtrot).
Oh, that's kind of what I thought. I had seen the phrase a few times before and figured that must be what it meant, but you summarized it well. I particularly didn't know the part about the ded- lurker not visiting other spoiler threads, but that makes sense.
