Is that character a variant? (I just love getting asked that in channel.) - Charis

Opponent Analysis

I also agree to banning it, seems logical

After the C&D I did for the ISDG, I probably will have to do the same here:

GNP:

18: 5 (all at 18 or better)
19: 4 (3 at 19 or better)

Production:

2: 3 (2 at 3 or better)
3: 2 (1 at 4)
4: 2 (1 at 4)

Food:

2: 1
4: 4 (3 at 4 or better)
5: 3 (2 at 5)

Putting it all together:

GNP
18: 1
19 - or - 20: 2
21: 1

Production (total 8):
1: 2
2: 1
3: 0
4: 1

Food (total 16):
2: 1
3: 0
4: 1
5: 2

1 civ has settled with a lake in their BFC. Everyone has plenty of forests in their BFC, and likely fresh water. Currently, everyone is researching a second-line (ie discounted) tech.

The total foodhammers is interesting, with the implication that all the other teams are getting 6 foodhammers each. If that is the case, then we should have a major edge in getting our first worker out.

Well done smile
We need that data.
I think we should keep such info in one place, instead of posting it in different threads, where can be easily forgotten.

Wouldn't you be interested in starting a C&D thread here? smile

I'm thinking keeping the C&D here in this thread. After all, it's called "Opponent analysis" already.

And feel free to poke holes in my tile yield analysis. I'm having a hard time believing all the teams have 6 foodhammer openings. Compare the ISDB, where everyone gets 7- or 8-foodhammer openings.

If so, we should keep this thread updated with demographic screens and number of points every single turn, for future analyzes.

Would you do it?

I'm not sure I can get the demo screen shots every turn, but I can do some limited C&D - I can't say I'm experienced at it.

Who else would be interested in doing some C&D for our team?

Should we filch the ISDG C&D sheet? Or does someone else have an Excel C&D sheet they know how to use?

Time to buckle up. If anyone has any demo screen shots from T1-T4, T6, and T8, I'd be very thankful. PM me your e-mail address to get access to the shared dropbox, or post them here.

Demos are unchanged since T8. We can put in Hunting for TEAM, on T5. Max soldiers increased by 2000, they had 6000 at game start, and they had a 6 point score increase.

However, Hunting costs 57, and on T0 TEAM generated 11 bpt. Based on this, I think TEAM has access to an oasis. By working it on T3 and T4 (after border expansion on T3), they got the last two beakers.

However, on T5 top GNP isn't 20, but 21, and it stays that way. This means the Trolls (the other CRE team) gets 11 base beakers, 8 bonus commerce, and 2 bonus beakers. Since they're India and haven't gotten their tech yet, this can only be Bronze Working.

Pirates and Gillette are also researching second-line techs. Put in a tentative AH for the Pirates and Gillette. The other option is that they research a first-line tech with access to oasises, but I judge that less likely.

I really think you should create a new sticky thread for the C&D data and update the first post with all the info we have about other teams.

Otherwise, it will be hard to find these data in a few turns.

Yeah, and we need a spreadsheet. SareIn, any ideas? Or should I simply filch the ISDG one?

I can do better than the ISDG one.

Important bits we need now:

The DEMOS screen.
The Scores on each turn.
Score per land tile for this map.
Score per pop point for this map.
