Email to Locke
Quote:Hey Locke!
I have to say I was quite angry when I spotted your roaming warrior. Of course, that's mostly because I thought the little flag icon was the barbarian one. And I thought "Hey I thought barbarians were off! Geez it would be JUST my luck to manage to run across the ONE barb in the WHOLE map?!?!!" :-)
In any case, greetings from the wonderful country of Last-place-ia! We are located far to your west. And while I'm sure this map is overall balanced pretty well, it does not appear to be very balanced in terms of number of early contacts. Not really a big deal since it's no tech trading, but we have only met Ioan76 and Mackoti (a few turns ago), and now you, whereas I believe Ioan and Mackoti have met 6 (!) other teams. So if you're trying to win the "race" to meet all the civs first, you better get a move on!
In case you were wondering which warrior of yours we met (and don't have access to the game), he doesn't have a name, but he's on a jungle hill near a formation of 3 peaks.
I can be reached at this email / chat, and sunrise089 at his username at gmail also, and we're both on EST (GMT -5).
Would you be interested in any type of discussions / speculations about the map? We've scouted a fair amount of land (just the kind with no people in it!!)

And what have we here? When I went to F4 to check if Locke was already in Slavery (he is), I saw that we also have met SleepingMoogle!
Map investigation reveals
Clearly an introductory email will have to be sent, but just as clearly, that will have to be in a separate post!!

And the email to SleepingMoogle
Quote:Hi there!
Sometimes there's advantages to being last (or almost last) to play - you sometimes get to meet new folks when you move your units! We actually met Locke this turn as well, and didn't even notice that I had met you as well until I checked F4.
In case you were wondering which warrior of yours we met (and don't have access to the game), it is Cicero and he is on a coastal grassland hill. He is also VERY conveniently located right next to the sign that I put that says "Moogle to north?" :-)

Have you also met Locke? We would be happy to arrange a summit of your two warriors that we can see. Ioan and Mackoti have a scout out and about but if I'm remembering correctly, they told me you've already met. I believe Lord Parkin would also be in between you and Locke's warrior if I understood how Ioan explained the relative positions of your scouts.
We'll see if my friendly summit setup suggestion gets him to move that warrior east instead of west

Shoot just noticed from F4 that Locke and SleepingMoogle have in fact met, so that won't work.

Quote:Hey there guys!
Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that we met both Locke and SleepingMoogle this turn. I understand you've already met Moogle, but if you'd like us to try and direct a summit of Locke's exploring warrior and you guys, just let me know.
Currently his warrior is 25 tiles east and 2 tiles south of the gold tile near where we first met.
Let me know if you want us to guide it somewhere.
Also, we have a warrior following you south - he just made it south of the jungle and there's a split to the west and the east - which way did you find plako and WarriorKnight?
Talk to you later!

Only one mistake (well actually I think you linked to the wrong picture for the "meeting Moogle" shot) - you say you're EST but we all know you're really CST (maybe MST).
