NH, could you play the turns the next few days? I should have internet access and can give recommendations if necessary, but I'm not sure if I will be able to access PB-games (might only be able to log in from a hotel-PC not my own laptop).

If so, there is really not anything planned right now, probably foolishly by me. We should whip the settler next turn in the cap and move it to the spot down south. I have queued Hunting though at 0% research IIRC. You can change that to Pottery if you like, we will need both.

Apart from that settler I really have not planned further in detail. The overall plan is to get Pottery -> Writing -> Maths and build HG while being at around 8-10 cities, so basically just get workers and settlers with the occasional axe or spear (I would prefer a spear soonish just for security) in between as well as Granaries (if going for Pottery).

Would that be ok for you?

can you play his turns in pb8 as well? <G>
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

Can I play your turns in PB8 too?

Anyway yes I'll play the turns here. I'll log in tonight and see if I have any questions. What exactly is "the spot down south"?

If you want, you can play those in PB8 as well NH. I didn't dare to ask anyone because they are time-consuming and I can't give any clear directions for that game, save from...

PB8-spoiler, Bigger don't read:

Build Cannons, attack xenu if you feel you have enough - I did not have 2 turns ago...

All right I played the turn, no screenshots for now. Our worker management is fucking abysmal. I assume the southern spot you want is the one on the east coast, but we don't have any workers near there and it'll take a long assed time to finish the work boat since we need to get someone down there to mine the hill first. But whatever I don't see a better way of doing it.

Overall plan is to tech Hunting and then Pottery, whip out at least two workers and get lots of cottages up with maybe some granaries.

Ah and the spot down south is the city we discussed earlier for city no. 3. The one 2N,1W of the rice. Though if you feel another city is better as our next city (I could see a case being made for the fish, clam spot south of the cap) then feel free to settle that.

Well both cities are going to suck at the start, but I'm pretty sure the west spot will suck for longer because it needs a border pop to claim the rice, whereas we only need a work boat for the fish. I'll count the turns to work boat tomorrow and see for sure which is better.

Yeah, we don't have enough workers. I could have moved one down there, but that would have delayed the pig or the copper. Though the pig should have been finished now so there should be two workers being available to be moved down south. And as that city-spot I mentioned should have a trade-connection via the river you don't need to road the whole way for now. So I think in 2-3 turns our workers should be able to get down there with the city being settled earliest in 2 turns IIRC.
