I don't really see it as much of a problem really, we haven't got any major breakaways and last time it was close up to the final match with multiple possible winners.
I'm guessing nobody has noticed that the points tallies increase for the knockout stages to 5 & 2 respectively - I'm open to scrapping that if necessary but the idea behind it was to try and stop jokers getting used on days where there are more games and give some possible comeback boosts.
Personally, I don't want to make that change. But if I am facing a consensus here that really hates it and may drop out over it, then I'll do it.

There's still plenty of time to get your score up - a few lucky predictions, a good joker day or doing well in the knockout games could easily pick things back up.
But if you really want to quit then I won't stop you.

I don't see anyone complaining about the increased scoring for knockout games.

For what its worth - I don't really care about the scoring system. I don't think its necessarily the best one we could come up with, I just sort of enjoy guessing what the score of the next game will be and going on from there. Occasionally when there's a game I don't care at all about, it gives me incentive to root for a goal here or there. I'm pretty sure whoever wins this will get randomly lucky late in the competition but I don't think it matters all that much.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

IMO the scoring is good as it is.
That people start quitting just because they are behind is very unsporting and a disappointment.
