Hai team. Noble greatly overstates the extent of my tilt, I was annoyed but its better to say I just got a little distracted...
Damned Weeb Fox...
Anyway, a few tidbits here and there about the game...
The Plan
Noble is correct when he states we spent some time simming (yes, I've actually simmed twice this game and one of the two times it was even helpful!) Once cooler heads prevailed it was evident we needed to settle south towards the better stuff (copper, gold) rather than west towards the worse stuff (Superdeath, silver.) Obviously we'll settle that way eventually but honestly, my expectation is that even if he pink dots us, he's just saving us hammers on settlers later. But Noble covered most of that stuff in his report. Most of the big decisions on the simming were about how many workers we needed and what the tech order should be. Current iteration of the tech plan is Agriculture (in next EOT) > Pottery > AH > Writing. That's where things get slightly more interesting. We were discussing today what the medium term goals should be beyond just doing the best job we can expanding and we sort of debated the BIG WONDERS. As stated previously, we nominally had thought Mids would be the best choice for us this game as way to make back some economic ground on our rivals who had better economic traits but looking at the map there's two sort of discouragements from that 1. We're going to have to pack the cities in a bit, which means more food sharing which means less opportunities to work specialists and 2. Two metals powered by cheap IND forges plus Ivory means we are unlikely to have any need for early happy cap boosts. On the other hand, there's way more water than we were originally expecting, I expect all of our cities to be coastal except for the cow city so Colossus and GLH raise up the scoreboard. Noble has little interest in nerfed GLH with so many PRO civs and I'm a bit more sanguine about it. Colossus is probably a winner regardless, given that we want MC ASAP anyway and its cheaper than Currency, plus we're not going to be able to overexpand to the point where the limp to Currency is super important.
City Names
Obviously the capital is Twilight Strand. We were originally going to meander through the Acts but again, not going to be able to get enough city count for that to be relevant. The cow city has long been internally named Broken Bridge, to signify the connection to the more desired silver/wheat site. That silver/wheat site, should it ever get settled, will be Lioneye's Watch, since it was intended to serve as a buttress against Superdeath. The gold city is going to be Solaris Temple, for obvious reasons. But we're debating two names internally for copper:
1. Torched Courts - to signify the burning of the original microplan because of copper location.
2. Harbour Bridge - because its another bridge site, this time to the gold city and as it turns out, is geographically close to the Temple of Solaris in the game.
We are soliciting votes from the lurkers, with prizes to be awarded in the form of more nonsense posts, the currency you guys are really interested in.

I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
