Write-Up Cliff Notes (long version will come later this week):
1) As noted before, we kicked France's sorry behind 2) HRE was a bully and demanded Toulouse. With our depleted armies there wasn't any way I could stand up to him so I consented 3) The Duchy of Aquitaine didn't come with France because it revolted like 2 months before I got the French to 100% war score. Talk about a pain... 4) ...so I invaded the Duchy and took it anyway 5) More nibbling at France with it's Spanish holdings. My vassals were proactive here - apparently peace treaties don't count between vassals of people! 6) Come of age! Except we're at war with Mali because of an alliance I got from marrying my half-sister down with them, so I need to wrap up that war before I can go on Hajj. 7) Marry 3 wives. Hire the rest of the mercenaries. 8) White peace! Go on Hajj 9) Right when I'm looking at finishing off France, the pope calls Crusade for Aquitaine 10) While kicking the pope's ass get wounded. Wound leaves a scar. Shortly later get wounded again. Which leads to this: ![]() Some notes on the war: We're steadily pushing back HRE. (Well, it's all Christian nations but the only one that brings a stack worth worrying about is HRE.) Just gang up on their 10k stacks and when you have the upper hand take over some settlements. Right now you should have some clear sailing to push eastward into HRE a bit. And those supply limits on territory can be tricky. Just sayin. Oh, we also have Mauritania as an ally. I think I married our half-brother to a princess there, or something like that. We helped them take over a territory against Tunisia; they brought 20k troops to help fight off the Christians. Our Grand Vizier is schmoozing it up with their ruler to keep him on our good side. (I wonder if that alliance is still valid...) Let me know if you have any more questions, Sareln. I've emailed you the save

Two things to note, Sareln:
1) The monthly warscore bonus for controlling our own holdings is a big deal; I see we have some troops in northern Aquitaine that aren't under our control. 2) See what benefits we get for taking a Surrender over a White Peace for the Crusade. If it's not a significant difference (Cutting into Catholic Moral Authority may be worth the fight, though), I recommend taking a WP when able and going back to more normal methods of grabbing land. And one thing for EDIT: Pindicator: ( ![]() Aye, truces are between two people. After all, you didn't send any troops after France.
That wasn't me.

We have several vassals of vassals that aren't too happy with their feudal lords right now. You're seeing those seiges in the north. There were a couple times I'd bring an army to a territory to relieve a siege only to find that it wasn't the Christian troops attacking - it was a vassal vs. vassal-of-vassal. (And to my consternation, it is two muslim leaders I transplanted up north who are fighting! I had to take out the Christian lords because of the -75 infidel malus, but then the muslims fight on.) This is also happening in Aragon; the vassal there was labeled a heretic and cast in jail, but his vassals are fighting to overthrow him. Edit: Thouars may have actually been taken by Christian troops. I'm not positive, so I would check that out Sareln. But Poitiers is definitely vassals of vassals fighting Quote:2) See what benefits we get for taking a Surrender over a White Peace for the Crusade. HRE was pushing me around; I wanted the visceral joy of kicking his ass. Sareln can choose to pursue or go for a white peace, his call.
