One of the rules passed in the design of this game was "no spies" allowed. While a Great Spy can still be used for a Golden Age, or settling as either Scotland Yard or a super-specialist, he can't be used for a spy-bomb (or, even if he could, it would be impossible to run missions off of the EP).

Sorry about that slaze, I probably forgot to point you to the rules for the game when you took over.

Athlete/kalin informed us of the cancellation of our NAP effective turn 130 with hostilities available turn 155. At least they've been up front with it.

They currently are tops in MFG numbers and seemed to have been working closely with Whosit (who is free to declare at any time - and has 3 galleys within amphibious range last turn played, 2 at one city and 1 at another)

I'm gonna get dogpiled.

Do you think they are definitly going to attack??
If so:
  • how do you rate your chances??
  • what do you feel you will be facing??
  • what are your defences like??

I think it's very likely. The war with sulla/speaker stopped, leaving sulla with the highest power - they (AK/jowy et al) just couldn't get any ground there, so I think they see me as a much easier target. There' have been quite a few scouts passing through my territory - AK sent a horse archer through and saw how weak I am, as well as whosit with a galley (loaded or not?) along my east coast passing nearing up to my capitol and also 2 other galleys near our border in my SW. up north at AK I have 2 quechas in the border city and an axe in the other border city. Down south I have maybe 4 axes and a chariot. I the middle I have one spear heading north and most cities defended with 1 axe each. I also don't have iron working. Or horseback riding.

I would have trouble with a stack of 8 units and I'll expect much more than that. I'm toast. It's just a matter of time

I don't think you're toast just yet. Turn 155 is still a long way away, you can get at least one of the military techs (HBR, IW, Construction) in that time.

You know, I've played a few turns and come up with a few ideas and it's really not that bad. Mt above statements are a little inaccurate in places. One of the days, maybe not tonight, i'll do another update. I've even had some pretty posiitive diplo with whosit since then and yes, turn 155 is kinda far away.

But sort of a sneak peak is that I seem to be making some step towards plako and this is revolving around some action that will be happening in the turn 150-160 range (whosit is our shared/sandwiched neighbor). And the economy is beginning to come into its own which is a welcome change.
