Do they know that we know that they know that we know that they know ...?

TEAM & Gillette both on 10 cities (including their capital). Menagerie and Pirates have 6 (again, inc cap).

That doesn't count the one TEAM settled this turn.

(Next time I log on I'll cross check that with the diplo screen just to make sure I've not missed anything)

And we're settling our 10th city in four turns, on T108. Maybe we should step it up a bit.

Random trivia. Gillette have an offshore city named In The Stone.

That's our only overseas trade route.

I think it looked from the screenies for this turn like TEAM have an offshore city as well.

C&D for this turn is half-done, I need to check some stuff with the graphs later so I'll finish up this evening.

Instead here's some stats smile Both these tables include the most recent turn's data - it's power I'm not yet done with.

Providing I'm not too far off with any of my tech assignments (an important caveat!!) here's the comparisons:

TeamNumber of Ancient EraNumber of Classical EraBeakersDelta with Trolls
TEAM1543495-2
Menagerie1512038-1459
Gillette155356770
Pirates1322268-1229
Trolls13534970

M3 may have more tech than I think (they haven't got a tech for sure since T91 which feels wrong, there might've been a classical era one on T101 instead of three pop). But even with the potential inaccuracies looks like we're on a par with TEAM & Gillette, and way in front of the other two.

Here's what I think the status is for pop/cities:

TeamPopulationCities
TEAM4611
Menagerie346
Gillette4410
Pirates246
Trolls479

(M3 may have less pop, see above about tech.) So we have similar pop to TEAM & Gillette, but a couple fewer cities. Gillette's population is very biased - their capital is currently size 15, so a third of their total population.

My gut feeling is that we need to go back to focusing on expanding after the end of this selection of wonders, but I definitely defer to those with more experience smile

Expansion should definately be in focus after current patch of wonders is finished. alhtough I'm not that worried about the actual number of cities assuming we can secure the center area and our fair share of the islands.

It's still a very close race, judging by those tech and pop stats. Hopefully we've got a better set of wonders to help us pull ahead.

Also, I think those stats go to show that the peace agreement with TEAM was a good call by both of us.

TEAM: Planted a new city (this is the 11th inc cap), double whipped something, grew another city.

Menagerie: 12 point score increase could be 3 pop or a classical era tech - their power has also gone up 1k which fits with it being population. (note I think I had somewhere given them 1 pop more than they actually have)

Gillette: double whipped two cities, grew two cities. Got 3k power, put that down as an archer.

Pirates: Treble whipped something, I think their 20 points were growing 2 cities and getting a tech. Their power went up 8k, which I've put down as 6k for Maths and 2k for units (a Quechua). There are obviously other possibilities smile

10 land tiles to share between the three that aren't Pirates.

TEAM: Grew two cities. I think it's likely they rather than M3 got the spare 6k power this turn (I'll check later). Putting that down as a Vulture. Also assigned the 26k I had unassigned for them as (arbitrarily) 3 Vultures and 2 Chariots.

Menagerie: Planted a new city, triple whipped a city.

Gillette: Grew a size 2 city to size 3. Got a classical era tech with no soldier points, putting that down as Calendar.

Pirates: Grew two size 3s to size 4. Got another 6k power, put that down as an Axe. Getting a little heated between them & TEAM? Makes me wonder if it was an Axe last turn & not Maths (not sure what tech they got in that case, tho).

2 land tiles, probably M3's.

Looks like I completely forgot to do C&D for T106 frown and I'm unexpectedly going out for lunch now so I don't have time to do T107 right now. So here's T106 & hopefully I don't forget T107 later:

TEAM: Double-whipped a city, grew 3 cities.

Menagerie: Grew a city, built Temple of Artemis.

Gillette: Planted a new city, whipped a city, grew two cities. Also another 4k of units - put it down as a chariot.

Pirates: Whipped a city, grew two cities.

27 new land tiles, split across at least 3 teams (probably 5 for Pirates, 8 for rival top (dunno who this is) plus 14 for the middle two).
