Yeah - that's where I was teching but I'm on 0% for more upgrades. No signs of reinforcements currently

Well that didn't go so great.
As expected, we lost the city of Saffron. Even worse, I won no battles Though looking at the battle odds, I probably shouldn't have. Probably should have just vacated the city, though I guess I did weaken some of the units? He also tried an amphibious attack over at Cinnamon, on my west coast. He had pretty good odds on most things but I won 2 battles And held the city by one injured maceman My problem is that I can't even really reinforce it very well as he can sail around to Pepper to the NE. I did kill another frigate of his at the loss of one frigate. Main stack of his is still holding near Saffron. If he tries to advance on me and moves onto the flatland I'll attack.
He retreated his stack to a hill tile East of Cumin. He now has 12 infantry in the stack, along with most / all of the previous stack.
Not looking good, of course....
Brave defence. Did you think you would get this far? I guess that will have varied at different stages of the game.
Okay he moved his stack up. Next turn it will be next to Cumin, and I'll have to attack.
Looking like 36 cavs, 15 curassiers, 19 rifles and 50 cats (and maybe some other junk) vs. 12 infantry, 20 artillery, 15 machine guns, 30 rifles and 6 knights. It is across the river unfortunately.
That's a lot more cavalry than I figured. You've got a shot, maybe.

It's actually 37 I believe as I got 1 more at the turn end. Dunno - it's going to be AWFUL bloody. darrell made a good point about possibly letting him take Cumin and smack him when he advances onto flatland (to avoid the river penalty). That was a good thought, and I'll have to see what things look like when the save comes back around my way, but my first inclination is to just go for it right here right now. I mean I'm dead, obviously. So I might as well go down hard, now. And plus, I've got no guarantee he will advance. He might just as easily raze Cumin, then wait and consolidate and come after me in 5-10t. Actually, our GNPs are pretty similar - 194 to 153 so maybe i can catch up regoarrarr Wrote:Actually, our GNPs are pretty similar - 194 to 153 so maybe i can catch up Oh wait a second, I misread the demographics screen.... His GNP isn't 153. It's 1536 So yeah, the military technological disadvantage isn't getting any better any time soon....
Yeah, I was going to say your GNP would get worse after losing Cumin...yeah.
