So what's up with the letters after people's names? RFS, FT, FS?

One of the other players (don't recall who) added these as shorthand for their stats -- who is good at Firing, Throwing, Strength, etc. I often do this in personal games, but have refrained during the SG since everyone has a different system.
I write down a list of the soldiers at the start of the mission, with what they are good (and bad) at, type of armor, rank, special weapons (tazers, etc.), and so forth. Picking the right person for a task -- throwing a grenade, sniping an alien, recon, going first through the door of an alien sub -- can make a big difference.

Good clean turn haphazard. We certainly need more of those to build money and experience.
Turn Order :
Catwalk <--- up
Ug
Dazed
Uberfish
Haphazard
ASM - on indefinite skip

Well, I got almost exactly what I asked for: daytime, gill men, small sub. At this stage of the game, that is about as easy a mission as you can get. And after port attack terror missions my previous two turn sets, I think I deserved an easy one this time.
Maybe bump it up to a medium or large sub -- more profit that way, and we need the cash. But we have accumulated a pretty good stockpile of sonic blasta rifles, so maybe we can sell a few? And we have nearly a hundred sonic pulsers, maybe unload some of them into the international weapons market.
I would keep the sonic cannons for tougher enemies, and the sonic pistols for recruits with low strength who will be primarily grenadiers. We have several of these at the moment, although hopefully strength will go up over time for those who survive. The ion armor is helping already, I would have had a couple guys down without it.

It's taken me far too long to pick up on this - but this is extremely appropriate right now.

Me and my big mouth. If I'd just shut up, my brand new "version 1" could already be there getting brutally killed
