Cyneheard has at least 40 rifles, 12 muskets, 22 MG, 17 cannon, 10 cats, 20 generally useless melee, 20 knights and 10 LB.
So, he has over 60 good defenders and over 25 siege, and that's only counting his stuff next to me. Add in the knights and LB an, well, more units to get through than you had. It's mainly the rifles though, they get defensive boni that I need to remove with airpower, you had mostly cav and siege that I didn't have to worry about.

So, on a turn where no attacks were made, no cities were razed, no techs were researched, cities settled, what happened?
I spread religion to an Incan city, and I continued spreading MI. I need 35 more MI execs, 40 CM execs if I get a GM, 5 more settlers, unknown amount of workers...and 24 Buddhist missionaries? It's not difficult to afford them, but it is difficult to get them all out when you are limited to 3 of the execs and missionaries.
So, not a lot happened. BUt here are the pictures for you. I should note most of those screen shots are taken before ending turn.
The scary thing is I'm now at 2400+ gpt. I hope to get that over 5K in 30 turns. Should be interesting...
(PS I let Cyne get contact with Kylearan this turn. I just felt bad sinking all of his chips).

eot 2512gpt, +87bpt. 12 turns from a 50/50 shot at a GM. Next few turns I'm going to plant another 10 cities as well. Seriously need to get another 20 workers...
Built Pentagon (Cyneheard had AL and I didn't want to risk it). Pentagon is useful, even if I'm in Theo because it puts me that little bit closer to the third promotion, so it'll be easier to keep the attack rolling and using promotions to heal. I'm 4 turns from 3G in TRB.
I'm buying/building execs as fast as I can because I need so many. I'm trying to build a missionary a turn but I have way too much overflow in most cities to do it, so I'm mainly building them in my NE city that still will be losing about 5hpt. Need to build them in No Quarter and Lemon Song as well, but they are being used as Exec pumps, and that's more important.
Eiffel came in and lets all new cities pop borders using one of the two free specs. As I won't be having a new slot in them for a while, they'll quickly pop out to 40%, as 2 free specs, with FS and Broadcast Tower gives me 20cpt.
I've also renamed the captured cities and the future city sites that I'll be settling next turn. Got some good ones for the northern border, which you'll see next turn when I do an update on that area. Still getting the rails in order, which is making me think I'm going to just have to rush buy and overflow workers in some cities: I'm even considering planting the filler cities in my original core to act as worker pumps fora few turns before I (hopefully!) get CM. And if I don't get CM, well, whatever, they'll still be useful in this regard.

I hate pressing F9 immediately after pressing enter
I don't have an awful lot to say about this turn, other than I planted a lot of cities and spread MI further. My break even tech is about 2200 bpt, even though 100% deficit is much higher, about 2800 bpt. As I grow my newly captured and settled cities, It's going to be an interesting number to track. Currently spending about 2k gold a turn on rushing buildings, and spreading MI. I'd love to know what Kylearan says when he opens the save as well...

Pic dump. Actually, that's a lot of pictures...might need two posts.
I burnt about 2K gold on buying shit, and for the first time this game I realized I could build 5 Execs at a time and not just 3...that'll make it much easier to spread corps. Plus getting 2 free religion spreads helps as well
FWIW, I actually forgot that I had a settler under a rifle...and only found out several hours later after work, while looking through the game (I left it open after playing it on a break...) Still 4 rifles for a rifle and settler, meh, I don't mind.
