@7 - I thought of something similar to that ... but then they reply 'No, of course not. Ok, how about a T165 or T185 NAP'. I think if it plays out like that, then we are in a worse stalling situation than currently.
Why don't we take a leaf out of CFC's book and have Scooter say that RL is pushing him really hard and we are looking for a replacement diplomat. Once we get one of those, he says that Scooter hasn't passed on all of the history, etc, etc.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Don't do this, in my opinion its very disrespectful and doesn't paint RB in a good light when its clearly a lie. Saying something along the lines of "Ok guys our team will discuss the proposed NAP extension and get back to you" seems a better course of action to me.

Couple comments. First, I don't think this is bad news that they've asked - it took them until T146 and we should be pretty happy it's now and not 5-6T ago. Second, I don't believe several teams mentioning T175 is inherently suspicious - it's a nice round number. However, I think Seven is suggesting it's just a nice opening. Anyway:

We're at T146, so we need to kill 4 turns. Based on our current pace, that's basically a week right? So we need to figure out how to burn roughly 7 days. Even just a couple back and forth messages (waiting a reasonable amount of time - couple days each time) would kill most of that. We can do better though I think. Side note: The purpose of stalling here is mainly just to make a few more turns go by without them reverting into a "whip everything to the ground" mode. If we tell them now we're going to attack in 4T, that's probably 10-15 more units (minimum, a better team could get a lot more) we'll face than if they don't start prep until T150. Anyways, I think we should aim to respond after about 48 hours. 2 full days is a reasonable amount of time - that's faster than literally any response they've ever sent to us all game.
