As promised!
T115:
By sacrificing a RoK Priest, I manage to land Ashen Veil in the city I wanted:
Notice the Armageddon Counter increasing to 8.
T116:
Corruption of Spirit splashscreen:
Mmm, Diseased Corpses...
Now, Uberfish had already told me he finished the Great Library end of T115, but it still hurt to see it:
The consolation prize, 138 gold... Pretty nice actually for two turns invested. I immediately set the capital to the Bone Palace.
In foreign news, the Ljosalfar have joined the Calabim in knowing how to trade technologies (ie they got the Trade tech), and the Balseraphs got Currency, allowing gold trading:
And here's a shot of the south:
The Lanun are about to drop a Settler without consulting with me, so I move my Priests into Al-Shams. Next turn I'll move them into a threatening position, and see what Amelia does. She won't be able to found this turn because of the Giant.
T117:
Ok, I wish to lodge a formal complaint to whatever God is worshipped here at RB:
The Balseraphs get a frickin' Golden Age out of an Event! And he still has to launch his Worldspell for two extra Golden Ages!
Ok, calm down Ilios, surely you got some nice stuff in the past as well?
Great people?
Zero...
Gold?
Zero...
Nice events?
Zero...
Wait, wait, you did get something, right?
Yes, I got two whole maps, and a Discipline of Leaves (50 turns after the religion was founded)... AND A GOBLIN CRAPPING IN MY LAND WITH NO ACCESS TO NATURE MANA!!!
Ah, I feel much better after this little rant!
So much better that I actually laughed when I saw this:
Why do forests always decide to turn Ancient just before you finish a Lumbermill on them?
Surya has been founded. It won't amount to much, and basically is a fortress between the Balseraphs and my capital. I think I'm going to put the Heroic Epic in here and just spam troops.
I was due another Civics change, so I switched to Religion.
This will potentially add four extra happies in every city if I can get the Temples up.
On the Lanun front, Amelia hasn't been able to unload her Settler as expected (Giant), but will be able to do so this turn. I move my green Gods (Leaves Priests) closer to the site, awaiting reaction. If she can give me the Pig, she can have it.
The Armageddon Counter has now increased to 12, and I'm starting to like the idea to raise it high enough for Blight to hit, just about when I switch to Sacrifice the Weak.
So I was wondering:
- When does Blight hit? (AC ?)
- Does researching Infernal Pact and thereby summoning Hyborem raise the Counter, and by how much?
