Nice, very nice. Hopefully we can kill the rest before he deletes them. The coast tiles and GG points will easily pay back the cost of Optics, and there will be no blockades again until galleons at least. You did dump a lot of cash on upgrades though.

This turn's catch:
I think Zakalwe and Boldly are fighting in the area the screenshot's focussed on. They both have dips in the power graph and a GG was born. Also, Boldly got Education, and Zak got Liberalism and the AP. All golden ages are finally over. With all blockades lifted, I'm about to recapture the food lead. I'm behind on MFG, tech (in some parts of the tree at least) and infra though. Long term I'm not sure how Zak can be stopped, with his superior civics, wonders and current equilibrium.
I have to run.
Heh... that's a lot of boats in the eastern sea. Meanwhile, I had three triremes keeping Ichabod's single coastal city in check on the west coast. Nice read, I didn't realize how much you had been relying on wealth, seems like my economy was really a lot healthier (GLH + organized rathauses is just uber strong). And if I hadn't lost the pyramids on turn order things would be even harder for you. (Or maybe not, because then you wouldn't be the top dog.) The main thing that irked me about that is that I could have been in police state all along instead of hereditary rule, which I had no need for. That would have been sheer awesomeness.
If you know what I mean.
