3 cities came out of revolt this turn, and 3 more come out next turn. My top-end bpt has jumped from 400 to 525 over the last 2 turns. My break-even is still 20%
Forever 20%!
Superdeath split his boats up: 1 trireme and galley went north. It dawned on me just now: he has a settler on them. I would consider that crossing the line from tenacious defending to bad sportsmanship if that is really what is happening. If he didn't want to be in this position then he shouldn't have built those wonders and should have whipped horse archers
everywhere instead - he would have overrun me if he had done that! Anyway, our 2 galleys moved up and our 3 triremes now healthy in the capital moved up a turn behind them. I forgot to take a screenshot, but now I need to also look where he could potentially tuck away a settler. I have a chariot up in AT's lands scouting out hte war between him and Cairo. I'll have to shift that guy west now if there is a spot for him to unload at.
Mostly a turn of healing knights. I should have them all healed in 2 turns. As for the superdeath attack force, we're looking at the two knights I left up north combined with 2 knights from the capital to start, and if we have to shuttle more then we will.
Somebody go into Jowy's thread and slap him.
Here is the GNP graph. Mjmd is in a golden age. Jowy is not.
Jowy is out-teching Mjmd while Mjmd is in a golden age. Jowy could easily win this game if he would take himself out of this war and tech up to the next age. There was no reason why Jowy should have lost liberalism and there's no reason why Jowy is going to not get the Taj here. He's stuck on Charriu like my stupid dog when it gets a scent of a squirrel or another dog and I'm yelling "Colt, come!" while he just stares at something he cannot have.
Anyway, Jowy, buddy, do yourself a favor and play the economy game! Play the economy game and win!
The rest of the graphs:
Thinking about Mjmd some more...
With MoM going off on 2 golden ages already, I'm really only trying to prevent the next two from being boosted. So if someone can actually beat him to Taj (unlikely if he really is going for it, but he took Printing Press with Liberalism ... a mistake I think, as Taj should be his goal) then suddenly MoM only has 1 golden age really be useful for him. So perhaps MoM itself isn't so much of the target as just trying to slow his teching down.
Alternatively, if MoM isn't the target then do I need to push in so drastically? Knights and catapults are going to be a solid defense up until he gets cannons. Perhaps I do the north attack on Sugar Cookie just to pick off what I suspect is low-hanging fruit and make him have to defend for a change, but do not mind so much which way I go as long as I get to attack. Right now Mjmd does not have engineering so he has nothing that really compares to my highly promoted knights. If I can avoid him throwing catapult stacks into me then we can cause some disruption by going east towards his core.
Here's a stitch of Mjmd's lands, such as I know them:
Thinking about me some more...
I've conquered all these great lands, I now have 2 wonders to my name, perhaps the right play is to cause disruption without over-commiting to attacking Mjmd and use that time for my new territories to come online and grow. Superdeath has a ton of flood plain towns that are now mine to work once I get the population on them - this could bring me back into it with a golden age and the right civic changes. I could go back to plans for religious wonders and focus on per-city bonuses along with ICS, such as I can do it. I could go Theology -> Divine Right -> Nationalism...
What is my next tech now? I pick up Literature at the end of this turn. My Heroic Epic city is going to be Saute It, I've decided (or whatever it gets renamed to) because that's the best production city around and it has a decent amount of population still. It comes out of revolt next turn and I'll probably start it right away. I need to get missionaries up into Superdeath's lands for border pops. I need to build a temple in Benton to give myself an outside shot at a Great Priest in my National Epic city. Those aren't techs.
So I could go Code of Laws -> Civil Service and start with getting Forbidden Palace built somewhere along with chaining farms in places that need them. However I still do not have many cities with maintenance over 10 yet. But Civil Service gives a lot of good stuff and in addition opens up Paper.
I could grab Gunpowder for a military edge, especially since I am PRO and get free Drill 1 on those units.
I do want to get Nationalism as I believe the draft is going to be a big part of my future unit production. Then Military Tradition becomes a natural follow-up.
There is also the religious line of Theology -> Divine Right to consider as Divine Right also leads to Nationalism. But I already have enough buildings that i need to build everywhere, adding another thing to the list probably is not smart.
Paper -> Astronomy? Interesting change in CtH: Great Lighthouse does not obsolete until Corporation.
