I'd prefer to see this in a Wiki related forum rather than the main Wiki site, just my opinion.

An early start meaning we can become recognized, attracting more like minded people. We can even go as far as "a community to be reckoned with". Although that is not necessarily our goal, we do have the resource, aka able people to do it. (if we only have the enthusiasm)

It may be funny to quote myself, but I'm on public library computers this week still (in the USA till Sunday).
I missed the last few posts/replies about game-cycle development in this threat switching between Santa Monica and Venice libraries 
To be sure, game companies do tend to show favor for longtime supporters and established fansites/communities who are able to demonstrate positive insight or feedback a lot more than massive public testing betas.
The latter are for ironing out bugs, server stability and acceptable progress of luddites (noobies).
The former, however, are to help out game flow and UI control to a much greater extend than is generally known.
I'd say we need to get some quality stuff, err, info up on our own wiki, but include general game-play in this database, then we might have a chance to be involved from an early stage in the development of this project, even if it's only for some cosmetic polish of the final product.

The suits in the offices who make the all-important decisions regarding publicity of the game will "leak" some tidbits now and then, if only to maintain or heighten the hype of the project.
Should we be so lucky to work ourselves into some inner sanctum or into their grace, it would be a major coup if we were to be chosen to release such aforementioned tidbits now and then, along with some other fansites which have decent to good traffic.

I remember I used to ask you guys to refrain from linking back to our site, to keep the noise level down (at least it proves he can use a search engine ![[Image: lol.gif]](http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) ). Not that it was a real concern but bandwidth was Expensive back then... I had to turn down hosting Jarulf's Guide. ![[Image: cry.gif]](http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/cry.gif) (part of the reason was we were piggybacking on someone else domain and bandwidth)
Maybe it's time to talk to Jarulf about that.
