Ooh, I love your opposition analysis :]
Not much to add on scooter, if anything, he sometimes gets so absorbed with his main rival in the game that he gets blindsided by other people. But there's no Sandover here, so that doesn't help us much.
Lewwyn on the other side, oh man, you could write an essay on Lewwyn. But in short, he's a dwarf. Trollslayer for the WRFP minded folk. Beligerent, alcoholic, stubborn, holds grudges, doesn't yield an inch even if stepping back would be the better option. Worst kind of guy to get into pissing match with, because he just won't stop. As for micro skills, good enough to compensate for the fact that sound development looses to his inherent aggression most of the time. It's not that he doesn't read the metagame, he simply doesn't give a fuck about it. In this game - has Mysticism and financial village, prime Oracle competition, might whore religions for fun.
Brian is a below average player, with average pick in an above average field, with no MP combat experience to boot. And that will bite him hard in the ass as the game goes on and into the medievals.
Serdoa on the other hand likes his wonders. Usually. He likes them so much in fact, that he tends to overindulge. Some time ago, this tended to leave him overexposed and in a mire, now that he improved both his micro and game reading abilities, it's merely a players quirk. He's prone to overstocking on obsolete army and rushing people, *but only when he feels he falls behind in the game*. In this particular setup I'd expect his pet project to be an assembly line of Great Merchants to bulb stuff/settle in the capital, which does not leave him much time for wonder whoring.

I echo this.
Commodore, if your reporting in PBEM31 is anything like in your other threads then i'd just like to say it's going to be a real pleasure pitting my wits against you! I think you're a real asset to the community and, along with oledavy, one of the best reporters here.
As for your analysis, i would add that you are probably overestimating Brian but Lewwyn is pretty spot on. Both of those guys believe their skill level is much higher than the reality. Brian used the 'if i had Acalostas land, i'd be winning' line so many times in PBEMFfH VII, all the while making huge micro/macro and strategic errors. He's a nice enough fellow though, but very happy to hold a grudge. Tread very carefully diplomatically, once he thinks you've upset his 'honour', he'll actively work against you until the end of time. Good luck.

So stuff occured. I finished the corn's road, like a silly bugger, but the timings will still work worker moves to deer, he'll start to road, cancel, and then work on the camp. He can finish the road before hopping over to make the farm.
It's a suggestion, but given our leader, how about Vickorian-era writers for city names? Obviously, with Verne for the capital, it's not English-only. I'm open to other suggestions, naturally.
Here's the demos from the last couple turns. Next turn, we'll see the Hunting guys pull ahead in food.
T1
T2
Looking good.

Nope, so the workshop it is. We still need to decide what comes after this warrior, I'd think the options are either grow to size 3 on scout, worker, or settler. I favor the worker or scout, but could be swayed on the settler bit.

That works for me, although most of the naming has to come from you then. Buck Godot is my Foglio comic of choice.

*Slavishly does as he is told*
Check out our massive GNP spike! Um, yeah. Weâre solidly third, thus far. I wonder if anyone will be tempted to make an obscenely early settler, what with Imp. Ironic if Lewwyn is first to two.
No matter, on we go.
