I like mackoti's suggestion that all lurkers should be dedicated lurkers, I think that would really help with the demogame aspect. Can't exactly make a rule for that, but can encourage everybody to do so in the opening thread if there is support for the idea. I also greatly appreciate the proposal for green players to sign up for this, seems like many of us are a bit shy.

Krill, what level of advise and abuse should I expect if I sign up on your team? Same question goes to darrell, seeing as you have some experience with Krill

The easiest way to do that would be to make all the team sub-forums private and only grant access to one sub-forum on request.

And maybe keep the public banter thread open so lurkers know what they're missing out on.

Then I will sign up with team Krill, expecting to bathe lavishly in pools of wisdom and pits of wit. I can play a fair few turns (horribly), but will be mostly gone from June 25th to July 25th.

I'll sign up to any team that'll take me. Definitely will dedlurk unless the team is either a) eliminated, or b) doesn't post enough. Love to join Krill's his PB5 reports are excellent but can go with any if they don't have enough.
