No, we have 1 food in the storage. We had to do this to make enough overflow for the worker. In the original plan we were going to spend 1 turn less at size 1, but 2metra and I misunderstood each other and now we need to consume that extra food to save 1 turn.

Damned bear killed our scout at 33% I could had avoided her, but then the scout had to go in to range of hills and woods.

Bad news, but it happens to scouts even with positive odds.
Just for the record I wanted to post some considerations about our main priorities for this game:
1. Exploration.
This means both land and coastal discoverings and in closest future circumnavigation race.
2. Expansion.
In my opinion we need to focus on placing cities that can work without monuments and much improvements. City with a food source slaves lighthouse and works nearby coassts to provide so necessary commerce for researches. So we wont have rich infrastructure.
I dont think that we need to run for wonders, but still need a better picture to decide about it.

Revealing horses brought some ambiguities in our settling plan.
Initially I was planning to plant 2nd city right on that tile to share capital's resources between this city and another one on the yellow circle on the picture above. But now it is spoiled. Settling on the hill seems to help to solve it from the first view, but I definitely do not like this idea. Because the city on horses shares food from cap, the city on the hill (red circle) simply steals cow from the cap. It also takes one more turn and doesnt create trade route with the cap before Sailing. So if scouts do not find something valuable beyond it, we will probably refrain from this spot.
---
The alternative spot is on the forest (orange circle). In my opinion let it be one good satellite for our cap, than 2 bad ones.
---
Settling on the horses is a possible option too. The map provides a lot of hills, which is infrequantly for archipellagos, snaky contients or whatever this map is, so horse can be considered as a buffed hill with +1 food.

I lean for settling on the horses, but will test some today before having final opinion.
Should we try to finish off what I started with the bear being at 1.8 now when we have 2 more scouts or we keep exploring and leave this task for warriors?

With the first scout we explore to the north-east. With the second one we can try it, but without taking much risk. Anyway start advancing it to the north.

Yes, was thinking about the second scout as alternative to the second warrior.
Revealed deers with first scout. Nice.
Moved worker away from border (what is the chance there is an enemy woodsman2 warrior around anyway, but still). While idle, he can mine the brown hill. Not great, but still something to do and can be very useful later. Also, we need to decide which forest to start chopping with once we finally get BW.

Damned bear
Anyway, I do not think there is going to be a lot of work for our scouts very soon anyway.
Discovering deer indeed makes the tile north of horses (red circle) very nice city spot food-wise. Not connected to capitol, but such is life. Food is more important.
