And thus carthage has been destroyed:
And her fields salted... though mostly not by me:
Yeah joey has been going around razing all the towns. If I'm honest I thought this was the version of rtr that eliminated razing for towns and villages, but anyway.
Dark Savant is actually pretty ill-defended at the border, but not really looking to have another war at this exact moment in time:
Here are overview shots, my initial area:
Old Russia
And Newly Salted Carthage
I'm still behind Joey in all demos, will need to see where I am once carthage is out of revolt. Frankly I'm actually not sure exactly how he has so much production, I want to look at his thread after this game is up.

So I am pretty sure GJ is planning a bolt from the blue naval attack when our peace runs out, I ran across some suspicious galleons moving through Krill's territory towards mine.
This is going to be a pain... man naval warfare can be annoying. I think honestly I might defend against this mostly by trying to inflict more pain on GJ faster than he can on me with a giant stack. I'm not really sure if that's the best way, but it is certainly the way that will give me the least headaches.
A note for PB38 mapmakers... ocean style water pls, not channels!*
*While this is a serious representation of my preferences, it is my personal preferences only. Just makes naval warfare less nightmarish (though not un-nightmarish)

News from the war
1) GJ is winning this contest of "harass the enemy and raze random cities", I've hit 1 size 1 island, he's razed 3 medium-ish size cities that I took from Team C. The pillage units he had running around the roads helped, put even the inland cities under threat until I could get organized.
2) I triple bulbed(!!!) physics. Two thoughts around doing this. A - getting tbere first gets me the great scientist, so it is more like double bulbing. B - It is straight on the path to destroyers. Next tech - artillery. No oil you say? Nay - my destroyers will be powered by the might of the broken atom! (Destroyers in RtR only require artillery tech-wise, and then they just need either oil or uranium from ~somewhere~. Physics, it turns out, also reveals uranium.)
3) Still think GJ likely has this, he just has a far more consolidated and built up empire. Mine will probably be better than his given like 20 turns of buildup, but even if we got a ceasefire I probably couldn't afford to not keep building military given how much more production he has than me. I think my best shot is getting to destroyers first (I think I have a 19k beaker lead on the path) and trying to hopefully wreck his civ with destroyers and transports, or failing that, use it to give me space to develop.
4) I do now have airships, which are pretty nice. Put every non-wealth non-high_ROI infra build to a round of the blimps. Super helpful at sea, which is where most of our fighting is.

I can take some shots next turn -
In general I think I find lower activation energy to just type rather than take pictures upload pictures fwiw. Which is complaining over a marginal 4m of effort, but alas it seems to matter.

Thank you, but you know you need fission or fussion one of these to mine uranium which i think is more expensive then all the road to combustion?

Are you sure? I have a mined uranium (though on a mine that already existed) that has the commerce boost for it being mined. If so, that is a difficult to discern mechanic.
Anddd, upon googling I find multiple threads complaining about the game interface being misleading for uranium. Oh well. Wouldn't change any past decisions, but dims future prospects. I guess this has literally never come up in a game of civ4 I played, since normally you need combustion anyway for destroyers and everything else you use uranium for also needs fission.

There is no land oil, right? I think you can mine uranium but you need Electricy and Fission to use it to produce ships. You can check resource availability in trade window or inside any of your cities.
