Got a PM on the other forum from Nils (franzfanzer)
Google Translate gives...
Quote:Pb88 move order
Moin Elkad!
Lord of the civ said we both needed a turn order, since we're both at war with Fimi.
I am currently the second partner to Fimi. You?
LG, Nils
My reply
Quote:I play after Fimi as well.
I do not know how to divide the time between you and I.
It should not matter unless there is a race to take a city.
If that happens, I would be content if Lord of Civ randomized between you and I.
Obviously there is an issue with turn order if both of us are in a position to take the city. But another war could solve that as well.

T51
Warriors pop up everywhere.
Worse, I didn't see them before I moved the axe+spear. They could have moved back onto the silver tile, and then on T52, worker could complete the road between silver and fowler, so they could move directly to Fowler on T52.
Had a safety axe started. Intended to leave queued behind the settler. Had to whip it.
nils, fimi, and the barb could all get to Fowler before it finishes it's own axe otherwise.
Nils will be able to see into Fowler when he moves and see that it is empty.
Fimi and the Barbarian don't need to see, they will just invade anyway.
So the axe from Blaine will use the new road to get over the silver on T52, and into Fowler on T53.

T51 continued.
My warrior occupies Fimi's Rice tile. He regrew to Sz2, but won't get the extra food. I'll pillage it next turn. A few coins now is better than a pre-improved tile that I can't even use until after I capture Maralago, research a culture tech, built that culture building, and wait for a border pop. And I might fail on Step1 and do none of that.
Blaine pops borders to 40% next turn. Useful for visibility. I'll get two new hills to my east, and a hill plus new mountain to my west (which can see over the hills - I love mountains in useful places.) The mountain 1w of my capital? Useless. and will probably destroy my pig pasture and silver mine with volcanos a few times.
Worker 1 will road the r1 tile NE of silver. Not necessary immediately, but that way the new axe can move from Fowler to adjacent to my copper quickly if needed. Will probably go chop the tile 1SE of my copper after that.
Worker2 will go work on the Pigs tile, since the settler is now delayed (was going to road toward cows and then pre-improve them). I don't need the Pigs now, so the worker will road first, in case it needs to get somewhere else quickly.

What is your objective in this war, completely kill Fimi and capture his cap or just choke him and kill later?

I'm going to take a shot at killing him.
I've got about a 50% chance of getting a kill on the archer. I can spend 2 axes softening it up, but I need to take it from 50hp to dead in one fight. Otherwise it hides behind the warriors, takes promotions the next turn, and becomes unkillable.
If that happens, I just choke. Most of my axeswarm turns into fogbusters. While I pay SEVEN gpt in maint... ouch. Might have to delete some. (edit, nvm, some will die in the fight, so maybe not)

At this point it almost looks like you should kill him asap no matter the cost, you have invested so much in this war (did not notice you have 7 axes ). Do you have any idea where you started btw?

Not a clue where I started...
I'm also worried about spending all the axes and then Nils getting the city..
I'll find out next turn if Nils has an actual stack there, and not just the solo axe.

Nils doesn't move towards me.
Barb warrior attacks Fimi, loses, Fimi's unit moves south.
My axes stack up for the assault.
Warrior gets 6g for pillaging the rice.
Fimi settled for a Deer as food. And his other settler (eaten by the wolf) was either headed for deer+furs, or intended to share the rice+copper and settle where it died.
That would tend to indicate he researched hunting, which means he could be working on archery.
Next turn I spend 3 axes attacking the archer. If it dies I continue. If not, I abort and choke.
Hard to see in my screenshot, but note nils culture on the very top-left of the map. Touching Fimis. 2nd city, or are they that close?
Nils settled on T0, but Fimi didn't settle until T1. Probably started 1e and moved onto the dry hill. Logical move, picks up the hammer, two more green hills, and saves the river grass tile.

Comparing to my start.
Both of us moved to the PH.
Mine. Lakefish, green silver, green copper, green pigs, 4 river grass, river green hill, green hill.
Fimi. Coastfish, dry pigs, dry green rice, green copper, green silver, 2 green hills, 5 rivergrass.
I've got 3 mountains, he's assumed to have 3 oceans. Not that those matter until size 18.
Kneejerk reaction is to cry because he has three food to my two. But both of mine are higher quality, and two of my hills are riverside. I'd rather work one more hill/cottage at the same size, and not have to build a lighthouse.
