The clock is still fubared. It is moving faster over time. The time differential for me is now 15 minutes, as opposed to 4 minutes last night.

Apparently, the server admin has fixed the time to go back to normal, but it is progressing slightly faster than real time, so that now it is 22 minutes ahead. There HOPEFULLY won't be any more time jumping though, and the server admin has said he will go in and set a Network Time Protocol. In my understand, that will regularly check the time and make sure it's right, and reset it back if it's not, so that should fix it. Still don't know why this started happening, but it looks like we're close to a solution, and we're having good channels of communication with the server admin about it all, both of which are good signs.

Turns out my profile setting had automatically changed to "always use dst settings" from "automatically detect dst settings". Or more likely I had it wrong to start with - "always use dst settings" is a weird option, I probably misunderstood what it meant. When the server admin fixes the clock by installing a NTP, we'll have another 30 minutes of incorrect threading. Does he by any chance plan on doing this close to 2200 GMT tomorrow?
I have to run.

I can ask though that he not do it around that time if at all possible. EDIT: server admin said that he'd do it today in his message, I missed that part before. So it should be done already before next WW deadline.
Yeah if ntp is not set up then there will definitely be clock drift. I thought setting up ntp would be part of "fixing" the clock.

I suspect it may be related to the clock issue, but the go to last post in a thread function has been bugged for me lately (it takes me too far and misses previous posts I have not read).
It is pretty clear that our server is either being sucked into a deep gravity well or traveling at relativistic speeds.

Maybe it receives all those extra seconds that the pitboss servers loses?

Is it possible to "port" the attachments over from the old site?
I have no technical understanding of this, but at the moment there are dozens of old maps that can't ever be played (PBEMs old events etc.), and many of these are impossible to access otherwise, as the creators have since left/stopped posting.
