I think I'd have to go with regopin or regocator...
Completed: PBEM 34g (W), 36 , 35 , 5o, 34s, 5p, 42, 48 and PB 9, 18, 27, 57
Current: PB 52. Boudicca of Maya
regopin is probably the best to use...
Anyway, to the turn: Yay, another religion spread :D That means I now have 4 cities with religion, making that GP seem like a reasonable idea. I'm going to pencil in a city on the tile 1N of the silver. Expected time until settling: 18 turns. T100 seems like a good target for that city. Onwards with scouting. When you think that all of that land except the north and a bit of the desert and plains to the east has ben uncovered by a single warrior you gain more respect for experience from huts. IMO, anyway. Yeah, that barb city has gone, and I want it out of regopin's hands. Gold should be hooked next turn (1 turn later than anticipated because I changed the MM to road the fp instead of the grassland 1NW). Christ this land looks a bit drab. Settling the tile 1N of hte warrior gives an fp, clams and pigs, but what the hell do I do with that city? It can work 6 cottages max, and I want to use serfdom not caste so workshops are pretty crap until guilds and even then mediocre. No caste means no NE city either. Probably just going to suck it up and leave it at size 10 working 2 specs and a bunch of workshops. 3 workers improving this city and hooking up the cow. Gold hooked next turn, furs 3 turns after that, HR and wines...I hope the other players start getting demoralised :D Quarry due next turn, then 1 worker moves to road/mine the hill, the other probably loiters for the wine for a turn. Probably site of the GP push, the chop helps significantly in getting that temple out. Look, I know you all think I just spam settlers, but consider this proof that I'm not completely hell bent on defending with warriors until T150. It makes 15 hpt, so the 9 overflow hammers are effectively being stored until needed for a settler to get it out in 6 turns instead of 7 (using -fpt as well). Gold next turn, no effect on growth Then 2 workers irrigate that grassland for use at size 4, and one of them moves to mine the last grass hill for size 6. Pretty much got a spare worker, I want to road forward, but I really need archers to feel safe. Considering Archery next quite seriously. Furs at size 3 means this isn't a totally junk city. 50 hammers for a galley probably going to be given by those two grass forests getting chopped and working a plains forest at size 4. Working the plains mine this turn so I don't fuck up and miss the granary by a single turn. Next turn moves to grass hill to complete granary at 60/60, then probably a warriors due in 15. barracks wouldn't be a bad move, but warriors are still kinda needed. :D gold due next turn makes that top GNP slightly less scary now. When you see a high GNP, I am always a little concerned it just blows up before I can blow my own tech up. Now I'm fairly pleased with my position, I think I can do quite well beaker wise with the others, even Mr Mids and Oracle. Um, what, didn't rego have the same number of cities as me last turn? *checks civstats* oh holy fuck That, I did not see happening. And the loss of copper...it is making HBR and Archery a really attractive proposition. Settle a good front city against Ceil, claim some of that jungle that needs IW, Writing, Maths and Calendar to be productive...or tech HBR and Archery that I need anyway? I learnt my lesson from PBEM20 that sitting back and being defensive isn't that viable any more. tTeching to space doesn't work. You need to tech, but if you have an opportunity to kill someone, take it, or you lose. Seems like I'm the only lucky one with religion spreads... 28 pop points, enough happy for another 13...pity I don't have to food or land to make that pop useful.
Pingo?
That's too bad about Rego, atleast you can do us the favor of playing with him for our amusement.

Looking over the turn now, something else of note is that I have a trade route with Cyneheard, but I haven't met him. That means the trade route has to be through Pingo then, right?

Those do look like very appropriate penguin names, for some strange reason.
I wonder if they have any natural Pregodators.

Well, right at the moment ...

I like where this metaphor is going:
