I predict that the eventual winner will be one of ...

NED, MEX, ARG, BRA, FRA, GER

Some of these teams are meeting in the round of 16 (NED / MEX) while others have to wait until the round of 8 (GER / FRA). We could end up with an all Europe final (NED v GER / FRA) or an all South American final (BRA v ARG).

I currently have my money on FRA.

There is no way Mexico is winning the tournament. The others are reasonable choices, I'd add Chile as well.

136 goals so far, I predicted 214. Looks like I need 5-6 high quality shootouts in the last 16 games.

Also, I feel good about my Messi pick for golden boot. (and I guess penalty shootout goals doesn't count for the golden boot?)
