Lucky > Good achieved!
Axe will escort the Worker home, then heal, then go back to trying to get 10 EXP. We also, after I took that screenie, revolted to Organized Religion due to discovering Monotheism: Next turn, we will also revolt to Hinduism. Then Vanderbilt can begin pumping out Missionaries like candy. Research set to Monarchy. And, well, that is about it really. Not much to do this turn. GNP is meaningless due to the revolt, but look at that food! 3rd place and neither Horace nor Chevrolet have even improved their food yet! A most excellent jump.
My Axe over by Chevrolet moves in to kill a barb Warrior. My civ continues it's vast religious awakening as we switch to Hinduism this turn: I want the happiness to be in play ASAP and it allows me to get Organized Religion overflow on the Granary at Vanderbilt.
BTW, Wetbandit converted to Hinduism, so we can assume he is probably close enough to get a Hindu spread from WilliamLP. With all the revolting, very little going on to talk about. We may want more soldiers soon, as we have dipped to 9th while WilliamLP seems to have a healthy amount.
First turn wasn't really much of anything, except chopping at Horace Dodge for Work Boat (Unfortunately, it'll STILL take 8T...). Also, since I saw a barb spear and it seems to be heading for Horace (A Warrior defended city), I am peeling a Warrior off of John Dodge to put into Horace and will put the military that David Buick whips (A Spear, overflow into axe) that-a-way as well.
Capital finished a Worker and, due to the kinda Worker shortage and that it is at the current happy cap, will start work on another 6T Worker. The current Worker will work on cottaging up everywhere for the capital so that we can grow into many cottages. He'll presumably go to the grassland hill to mine after that. Vanderbilt overflows from the Granary (though weakly) into a Lighthouse: It will grow to Size 4 in 3T, upon which it will whip out a Hindu Missionary and overflow into...a Hindu Missionary! How very zen. Short term plan for Chevrolet: Grow to SIze 4 via soon-to-be-improved Pigs, have the second Axe move to the Wheat/Fur/Fur spot, 2-pop whip a Settler and found a city (Louis Chevrolet, probably: I'll have to call it "Louis" in here or something). Right now, BoldXenuBrick is even with us in terms of city count and I think WilliamLP is too. So that combined with the possible sheep city would be a good way to put us to 10 cities. We might want to take a small break then to grow vertically, with the exception of staking a claim to the Sheep/Horses possible city since horsies, which will allow us to actually support those cities. We can still grow new cities, ofc, especially over at Chevrolet where I'll want to go get that Marble and the Fish/Silver/Silver... Demographics. (We're in the 100% gold of binary, BTW) Of course, the turn after I convert to Hinduism, Judaism spreads to Chevrolet...on the plus side, we have Judaism now too. The Worker moved to the Pigs there and began improving them. 4T. Sam Walton finishes a Worker and will put a turn of production into an Axe before swapping to a Settler to 2-pop whip for the Sheeps/Clams city (If that spot is taken, it will be sent over to Chevrolet and used to found something over there). The two Walton Workers should be able to build roads leading to Vanderbilt before Walton's borders expand, so they should be timed well to start mining when it expands. That will give us an almost complete road network with the ability to station units between all of our cities (John Dodge and Horace Dodge still need 2 roads to be roaded up, so it isn't complete until then). Buick 2-popped the Spearman and will probably overflow into an Axe. Walton will probably not be whipped for some time after it 2-pop whips the Settler, as we will be growing up into Monarchy. Standard Oil is not to be whipped either except for an emergency, I am thinking now, as we need it to grow: Even before Monarchy, it will be getting a happiness from whip unhappiness wearing off and another from Hinduism soon, so it has room to grow into. It'll slow our production down some, but we need the GNP boost to now be gone. Tech path will probably end up something like Monarchy -> Code of Laws -> Mathematics -> Currency. Code of Laws before Currency because we need another econ tech and CoL is closer: We're paying 19 GPT in city maintanence and it'll probably head to the high end 20s-low 30s as we found near Chevrolet + the Sheep/Clams city. So halving that, at least where we can build them, would be great (Chevrolet in particular with it's 4.72 maintanence cost). It won't strictly halve our cost as not all of our cities can really get Courthouses (Horace and Buick will not get them for a loooong time probably, Buick moreso since Horace can actually work production). Demographics. GNP jumps to 46 @ 100% science. Which is still pretty poor. Gotta stop the whip and start the growth to help fix that.
Also, a question to Lurkers, and one that they shouldn't have to worry about answering: When do you usually start thinking, during a game, about what kind of win condition you want? Is it too early to start now? (Since I was musing on such a thing after I played my turn yesterday...)
Sounds a bit early right now, as we have no clue what is going on right now, and who is the lead and is it possible it make up that lead.

That is what I figured.
I did just want to say we seem well set up for a Cultural Victory, though. If we could get a 3rd religion somehow...
Turn again, turn again, jiggity jig.
We met Azza... He has 5 cities, a low score (31 below us and we're way behind everyone else!) and is probably no threat to do just about anything. He could be the one in the war, presumably on the losing end. I am thinking of trying to go Scout in Walton after the Settler whip, see if I can find anything or anyone new (Maybe someone with Monarchy for a wee bit of discount, arr!) Two Great Scientists were born... Demographics. Our Crop Yield is going to take a sharp drop in the next 1-2 turns as we do what will be one of our last rounds of whipping before we start growing up. We should be able to balloon a little after that: We'll still probably only end up middle of the pack, though. The good thing is that we have a solid city count of good cities: We are equal with BoldXenuBrick, 1 above WilliamLP and have 1 city coming when Walton whips the Settler and another when Chevrolet can grow and whip it's Settler. Getting over the hump of Monarchy, then CoL/Currency, could put us in a good position, albeit probably not a winning one...but if we can later conquer someone...
