Okay, Lewger:
I so hope Azza is slaughtering them. Four+ hours for this turn...that's in-game time.

Looks like Lewwyn drew blood, who knows how much. Azza's claimed his own iron...makes me slightly worried about our gold deal. Still, his Chm self needs less luxuries than normal, and his iron is probably just a bit exposed there.
Speaking of exposed! I had a very naked feeling with Nicolae's company here...
...and after I've moved. That forest growth was well timed, screening my axe/archer/spear force to the lower left. I think we're safe everywhere, unless he burns his general and exposes the poor bugger all in the same move. I think Pindicooter's primary concern right now if with chopping away all the potential cover around McDonalds. Fair enough, boys.
One of the new axes in the core is detailed to head up towards our gems and Coldspring Way, now bearing a vile barbarian city. We've got a fair bit of roading to do before we can connect to that city, but no reason we can't farm experience up in there, and just in case Azza gets cold feet, I'd like some gems of our own.
At home, we're assuming those faces stay for a while, as Andy and Grit make us another cottage. They'll road next turn for the settler to reach our fresh galley. IC-TRs in three more turns!
Incoming great general troops...

Heh, well, I don't expect it to last. Once I can whip out Ballin' Pants, I will, and I expect to fall quickly at that point. In general, though, yeah, it's not all that hard in this case. I'm just building lots and lots and lots of units to fight on the Eastern Front, and beyond that, I just keep building and teching. On that note:
Can't stop planning for the future just because you're in an existential conflict with a team led by the third and fourth best players in the game dedlurked by the second and sixth best (sorry guys, Plako is best, we all know that). Right now I'm just trying to breed despair and a bunker mentality in Zululand until I get cats and mammoths. How do you win an ancient-era war? Make it a classical-era war.
Yes I know this is about even odds to not end until it is a Ren-Era war.

I suppose I could do that. For people involved in this game, of course, you elites decide to give this a pass.

Serdoa is difficult, I think he would agree though that he's played better than anyone here and worse than almost anyone here, it's a bit streaky. I'll avoid ranking myself or Thoth, although I think I've played at my best around the level of the top guys. Let's all admit that grinding warfare at tech parity is my forte, though, and point out I come in only a little behind Regoarrarr in "own worst enemy" status.
1. Plako. He beat Mackoti after getting dogpiled early-game, need we say more? It's extremely unfortunate Ceil early-warrior killed him in PB5 and then turned things over to Nakor, I think we can agree either badass, but particularly Plako, would have made things more interesting for Krill.
2. Noble. Okay, he's a deadlurker but I see him log on, and since the hot war he's been posting more actively. His innate cautious old-womanhood aside, mechanically he's a monster and needs to be in the elite games.
3. Pindicator. When engaged and having fun, his spreadsheets are scary and his instincts are pretty solid. He's missing a broad focus or tactical innovation verve to bump him higher, but he's pure competence.
Tied 4th. Okay, cheating, three PBEM 14 guys are all in a clump:
4. Lewwyn. We he's hot, he's amazing, when he's drunk, he's questionable, and his hot/drunk ration is swapped with Krill's. I think "Leeroy" and Azza's new city speaks to why he's not higher, but he's excellent when he's not listening to the winds.
4. Serdoa. Streaky McStreaker here is playing pretty well, it seems. He's second in score with Oracle, spreading Buddhism, and the Colossus, so evidence of him doing well. He tends to lose focus at times, though, and fall into the rank of "okayish".
4. Scooter. Basically the opposite of his rank-mates, Scooter is creamy and consistent and smooth, like peanut butter I prefer not to eat. His meta is solid, his micro is workable, and his tactics are good. I dunno, I just don't fear him, though.
7. CFCJesterFool. Micro-wise, excellent, and he's parlayed the amazing luck of Mansa/India into a very solid position. I sense some fragility, though, based on his past MP performance. Best SP player here, though, and polishing his MP skillset.
8. Nakor. He's basically the guy you want to conquer. I really, really want to conquer him. He builds well, techs well, defends poorly. I feel bad about saying all that, though, because he's also a very nice guy.
9. Slowcheetah. Um, he's good at stuff, and not terrible at anything. Still kinda newish.
10. Xenu. He'll do fine until someone looks at him funny. By the way, he's whipped about a billion times and is posting up a storm, so I'm going to go with "someone looked at him funny". He's #2 power behind me, actually, if I'm tracking the dips-when-whips right. Have fun storming the castle boy! I hope it's Zulu!
11+. And The Rest. It's odd that the two most attractive cast members were "the rest" for the longest time. I am informed that The Professor is a decent lookin' fellow, and Dawn Wells was a smokin' hottie, anyone who answers "Ginger" should be shot. Oh, and Azza and Brick and Ad Hoc and Merovech and Bigger and Old Harry are all okay but hard to say really.

I hope nobody's feelings were hurt, because I couldn't help but smile at those characterisations.

I hope so too, it's all in good fun. Much love to my PB8 peeps, especially in the turnplaying speed. We rolled, and 650BC came early:
This means that our new ship is heavy-laden with colonists. Rego can be happy about the rebirth; it certainly will survive longer than his last unit. Worker goes onto sign and settler sits 1E of that if nothing good shows up, or atop the worker if that snags additional resources.
All's quiet on the eastern front. My kingdom for them leaving that worker stack open, but that's not happening. The worker south with the axe means four full workers hanging out in front of McD's, I think they want to clear it. :P
Okay, I'll threaten gold instead. Axe/archer pair in addition to that stack there; let's see what the response is. Three axes, two archers, and a spear are in the north if he sees a chance to put the hurt on my iron.
Power, MFG, and CY are all remaining quite strong, and when I'm researching I'm well above average in GNP...but nowhere near that 90 monster. Building wealth/research out there? We can only hope.
Finally, here's the troops again. I wrestled with the decision to not hit the worker, but in the end, I decided it would probably be another turn before it can chop and my chariot is in range to strike it then. C1 archer and axe vs. axe in woods is a difficult proposition.
Now let's hope for another turn this evening.

I note that you haven't placed yourself in the player rankings.
