[SPOILER] Krill rambles on
|
OK, for some reason this war is just never making any sense to me.
So this is what I had the please of looking at when I got a peek into the contents of TW's southern city. It is not what I expected: I mean, seriously dude? That's a good city garrison, why wasn't it somewhere you could actually get attacked? I can't break through that with HA, that needs cats. So I'm changing tech priority. I'll get Construction (and Masonry) in 4 turns, and I intend to whip a few cats out of the captured cities when they come out of revolt. This puts a pause on the whole blitzkrieg, and now I'm back to defending what I've already taken. Some observors may already see another problem on the horizon: That's...an interesting development. I mean, It's not a risk to TW: it will just bounce off the archers in Gonorrhea. Now, what if it just moves onto the pig? I have to take that as a strong threat and, essentially, kill it. I have 5 full health HA, 2 reasonably healthy HA, 2 spears and an axe. Plus a sentry chariot. Could I kill that stack? Well, the river is a bitch but thanks to the improvements to the road network yeah, I can deal with it, provided the RNG doesn't hate me. What happens if TW moves that city garrison towards Sandwell and HAK moves towards Cholera? Hopefully lots of units die, but that's why you lurkers watch these things right? Anyway, I'm trying to bait TW to move units to within range of Sandwell, and I'd be reasonably happy to exchange Cholera for the annihilation of the stack in Aureus and subsequent city capture. It would...simplify things over the following few turns. And I don't care that much about captured granaries.
Also...new overview map for reference. Beware. It's big, so I'm not putting it as a picture here to save data plans.

Turn order is currently TW>Krill>HAK.
It may make sense to let me double move in front of TW this turn for turn speed considerations: I'm not going to be taking advantage of the double move against TW by moving forwards against him this turn nor attacking that spear. Lurkers got any thoughts?
It looks to me like TW is playing within 12 hours of the turn roll right now, which seems reasonable. It's still a 3-way split either way right?
Why not have HAK play in the middle? He's in the same timezone as TW and usually pretty flexible.

Whatever works best is fine. |
