Also I founded a new city in the east. I was worried it would hurt my economy a lot, but as long as it's working wales, it only costs me 1 gpt.

Correct me if I am wrong but isnt the new city actually making money right now?
3com from whales + 1com from city centre and another 2 from traderoute, so 6 at 100%tax while costing only 4.29 in maintenance. bato Wrote:Correct me if I am wrong but isnt the new city actually making money right now? Except that there's the number of cities maintenance cost. His gpt goes down from 23 to 21 at 100% cash, which is a loss of 2 gpt, but I don't know if he rearranged other tiles. spacemanmf Wrote:Except that there's the number of cities maintenance cost. After I took the first screenshot I moved a unit outside my territory so I was only making 22. But yeah, it's the #of cities maintenance increase that I was worried about, and this was a pleasant surprise. It's a good sign that I'll be able to quickly absorb all the empty land after this war is over.
Omnumnumnum! Land Absorption!
FYI that second tinypic isn't working for me (the one with the grand armee). I think bandwidth or something. Get a legit photobucket account XD It's the same host and you won't have any issues with tinypic random deletes and bandwidth stoppages. Also, bulk uploading.

Diplo update! I'm thinking ahead to how I can rebuild my economy after this war is over. It occurred to me that a 3rd GG is much less valuable than the first or second, so it might be worth selling it, since I'd be the only one in the world with a GG for sale. I asked Locke first, because he has caste and philosophy (so he'll have a lot of gpp) and there's a good chance he might to to war with plako, who I regard as the biggest threat right now.
Quote:[COLOR="DarkOrange"]Looks like plako just took the capital from Warriorknight. That's too bad- I was really hoping that Warriorknight could put up more of a fight, since he had so long to prepare for this war. But I guess plako was just too strong. Quote:[COLOR="Silver"]Hey yeah that would be great. We havent fought anyone and a GG would help alot. Did you have something in mind for trade? We just used a Great Scientist so we wont have another Great Person for a very long time. Maybe we could trade you gold or something. I'm sure that would help you tech. What do you think? I'm not sure how to respond to this. Bargaining just isn't my strong suit. I feel like a GG is worth more than a great scientist at this point in the game, but I'm not sure I can ask for two. And I have no idea how much gold to ask for. 1000? 2000? 350? Maybe it would have been better to just put a "for sale" sign in the public thread, and let players bid on it. Or I could keep it for myself- if I settle him in Murphy's, build a stable and run theocracy, I could build combat 2 + formation mounted. Oh, and I got this plea from Ioan Quote:[COLOR="Magenta"]Hi Luddite,I was tempted to respond "no, just go ahead and settle the GS in Hagi, that'll work fine for me. Or make an academy there, either way is good." But I haven't said anything yet.
The first GG is settled in Murphy's, I take it?
