Guys, as I've hinted at, I'm having major time-management issues right now with my recent transition to full-time work. See my posts in the pbem 46 threads if you dare. It's interfering with my ability to report on this game. I apologize for this. (Thankfully, the turns are fairly quiet right now.) I am attempting to generate a resolution to this problem over in the pbem 46 tech thread; I'll let you know how it goes. For now, just know I am still fully-invested in this game and playing the turns, with exceptions you're aware of, and am trying to re-integrate especially the reporting into the life-schedule called "real life" I have scarcely experienced up to now (by the way, I hate it; are we sure we've revolted out of Slavery in real life?). Hang in there and stay tuned; I'm trying to get it sorted out.

Well I was/am away all weekend, so I wasn't albe to do any updates either except for quickly logging in to play. Will be getting on the road shortly for the 12 hours or so of driving and such back home. So I'll try to do a full update with photos when I get home.
In the meantime, someone (I'm sure someone else can see by looking at civstats (I don't have time right this second) built the Shadawegon Playa.

Brief verbal report: cottaging going well. Hill 70 horses improved, worker guarded by large forces. LAM galley near Juno Beach necessitated dry-whipping galley and shifting forces. Whipped library in Calcar Ridge in preparation for 100% science turn. Granary in Hill 70 finished eot. Shwedagon Paya is Rome's.

On the train home now after 11 hours of driving for the first leg of the trip. Will be home in about two hours to play the turn. If you need to play before then make sure you log into my civ first to make the academy before you play yours. I'll then finish mine after home.

I think I want Monotheism first. That way I can double-revolt into OR/HR, and also build Missionaries to spread religion to the rest of my cities.

Your wish is my command. Monotheism, teched. What's next?
Am I good to build markets as other builds start coming in? We don't want a ton of military for some offensive right now, do we?
Oh, LAM's galley is turning around; no units offloaded.

Awesome. After ending turn I've revolted to OR/HR. Perfect timing, since 3 of my cities grew into unhappy.
If it's another 1-turn tech, I say may as well grab Meditation for Monataries for the 10% boost to research?
But then I think maybe Construction so we can get our catapults? If I have Catapults, I can go up and attack WK's cities if that's something we want to think about doing. Since we seem to have decided to not have me expand over across the water (even though there is Stone over there), then I guess that means we need to expand north by conquest.
As for other builds from you....I need Missionaries. And I also need at least one or two more Settlers. I'd like to settle my Marble, and I'd like to settle my jungle city in the north before WK comes south with anything to block it. That would also mean that Iron Working would be needed. And we do so either right after or before Construction.

Ok. Unless anyone objects, I wasn't planning on revolting to OR, at least not now, so I would need Meditation to build you your missionaries. Is this okay with everyone? Also, +2 settlers noted. So Meditation -> Iron Working? -> Construction, depending on how long the latter two take?

Monasteries are not really that useful (except in a commerce city) until much later (if going for monk wonders). You really need to spread your religion (to increase shrine output) asap (i.e. forget building monasteries for now).
Depending on whether you plan on settling jungle cities (which should imo, happen after religion spread) or not, Construction first seems better but going IW then Construction would be fine too (good idea to find out where iron is located).
