It's called the Cartel of Aligned nations. The rest, well, you're stuck the name, Counter Alliance of No Trading. I'm sorry, but that's the acronym that worked the best.

Edit: And settled its differences with that other green team.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

You're a sod The Hydra has been your name for awhile though you've gone and ruined that by adding 1 too many civs. Greedy people.
I accidentally clicked on India's thread and posted something in related to our team without realising. I've edited it so it doesn't say anything but I'm not sure how to delete it.
What is my punishment? I honestly didn't read anything in their thread but I still feel a bit stupid.
FWIW, that is one of the things I fear the most, just accidently misclicking and then making the post...
Also, what the hell has hapened to the pace of this game? Can we at least try and keep a 24 hour clock time? At the rate the clock is going the turn won;t roll until 0600 GMT tomorrow. I agree personally, but I think in general this post is unfair. We voted for a 24hour timer, and by game three (and the fact that I posted as much) we all know the timer doesn't perfectly correspond to real hours. Now we all enjoyed the initial fast pace, but deviating from it doesn't mean something is wrong with the pace. We're now just getting the pace that most of the team wanted. Now on the other hand, if we want to vote for a new clock rule because we're all spoiled by fast turns, that's fine with me...
Perhaps it is OTT, and perhaps others feel differently about this, but I thought we voted for a 24 hour turn timer so we could play the turn once a day, and fit into some kind of regular pattern. What we have right now is a 30-ish hour turn timer (minimum 30 hours, so probably closer to 32 hours).
I'm perfectly happy with a slow down: playing once in an evening and dealing with all of the diplomacy in half an hour really helps on those hectic days. OTOH, not knowing when the turn rolls means that it is harder on each team to regulate turn playing...again, I don;t really mind the slow down, what I dislike is the lack of structure due to the obviously not 24 hour turn clock. |
