We're going to be in Conquest for quite a while. What other miltary units can we build that are useful? Also, we are going to need quite a few adepts on node swapping duty, which gives them a decent amount of time to level up from 6XP to 10XP, plus we need body adepts with haste, chaos adepts with enchanted blade, sun adepts with scorch, water adepts with spring, entropy adepts with rust, metamagic adepts (flying eyeballs are cheaper than hawks and adepts have greater utility), shadow adepts with blur...we can make use of the adepts.

BTW Kyan, I calculated with 13 adepts, 3 of them Body1, and 3 dispel mages, it'd be possible to swap 5 nodes every single turn. Something to keep in mind.

They aren't very good stack defenders anyway, since they have -1 strength; you'd be just as well off using much cheaper HA or stoneskin mages or iron-equipped swordsmen. They're great units, but mostly for emptying enemy cities. Beastmasters would be great stack defenders, though. Longbowmen are probably the best non-national unit stack defenders you can get as the Balz outside of religious troops. Defense strength of 9 with Flaming Arrows and iron is pretty sweet.
That said, just use summons for stack defense ![tongue tongue](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/RBOld/tongue.gif)
Actually, with nature mana we can get to Nature2, poison blade, for +1 strength to harles etc.

Well, we need Alteration for body mana. Yes , it also gives Enchantment mana (enchanted blade) and nature mana (don't even bother for N1), so I think it's useful. We won't ever be able to trade for body mana, because no one has it as palace mana. That means that we're likely to need a lot more than 13 adepts until that point...
On that point, Kyan, I think we need to reconsider civic swaps this turn. We (and by that I mean you, Kyan) need to decide exactly how you want to handle the Elohim, and I'll figure out what you can have in the timeframe. It might be that building more than an adept or two is a waste, and that we don't swap to Conquest just yet. Swapping to Mil State, OTOH, drops the XP on new units so we'll only get 2XP from the FotT, but gives +25% to military unit production, but most importantly, lets us by a library in AK and HJ, and a temple/market in AK. That'd shave a lot of turns off building the NE and let it start pumping out adepts with all of the boni and help us get Nox Noctis up sooner.

I know, and I was taking that into account. They still suck as stack defenders; LB are two strength higher if you get Iron, and all of the alternatives I mentioned cost much less.

I played the turn, but took tons of screen shots and sent them off to Kyan so he can do the report plus a diplo update, but sufficed to say I'm quite pissed with Brian.
I think you all know what that means.
We did get the Bone Palace though, so...13 more turns of a GA. Tasty.

Oh yes. Many. We're just deciding how big to make the show. Unless he gets his act together, current plan is:
Force Sanctuary
Kill Grigori
Kill Elohim
Kill Hippus/Sheaim
Kill remaining civ out of Hippus/Sheaim
Kill Elves
Whilst the first two stages are ongoing, im trying to encourage a Hippus + Sheaim vs Elves war which i've planted a fair few seeds for. Fingers crossed.
