Sulla lifted his blockade in response to my counter-attack
So much win.

Turn 189
For once, I have very little to say about France's turn. It was a rather uneventful. Bullet points!
- I maintained the blockade around the island cities, or rather tried too. I think I encountered some kind of bug. No matter how many times I hit the blockade key, the highlighted zone would not show up, and in fact a sailboat appeared working Map Control's Clams. To say I was confused would be an understatement. At any rate, not much to be done now, but an extremely annoying aspect of the turn. Sulla gets a one turn reprieve from my blockade I keep rolling the my actions that turn over and over again in my head to try and figure out why I was not able to blockade, but cannot figure it out.
- I staged my forces to attack Help Pix! I move in next turn. My destroyers will provide naval support to take down the city's cultural defenses.
- Thoth continues to worry me on the northern border, he added another couple catapults to his stack.
- WK gifted me another pair of settlers, I'm building Hindu Missionaries in anticipation of the new cities.
- I revolt back into Bureaucracy next turn after one final draft from my Globe City of Sedan. It should boost my tech rate up to around 900 bpt.
- Electricity came in and gave its boost on all my watermill and windmill tiles. Six turns to radio.
End Turn.

Usually if you mouse over the blockade symbol it gives SOME explanation of why you can't blockade?

Dave, when are you thinking about using your one-person GA? Might speeding up our time to Cristo be a good point? Or do you have heavy growth expected soonish?

I was planning on rushing the Cristo Redentor with Heron in Waterloo. Is the CR too costly to rush to within one turn of completion with a GE?
I've been saving my one and two man golden ages for whenever we do research Assembly Line, to throw up Factories and Coal Plants everywhere in very short order.

Oh, I was just thinking of speeding up the research time on radio was all. I still think we should rush CR with the engineer -- getting those whips/drafts/caste switches going turns earlier is worth it for sure I think.
Using GAs for the factories might be smart, although you could also consider just utilizing Kremlin and CR and doing Organized Religion boosted whips. That and I think using the GAs for the research time to get to Assembly Line is probably more worthwhile (probably speeds up the time you get factories about the same amount, but also speeds them up for WK and I).

You make a good point. I'll go ahead and start my one-man GA for t190 then. I'm revolting into Bureaucracy anyway, so it works out nicely. Additionally, I'll look at revolting into FR, to further boost our research rate. With any luck, we can squeeze Radio down to a four or five turn tech.
