Take that seven your ruin is mine
I want to see that city.
Settler finishes for next turn. Get a warrior over to escort. Pulling the one from west would prolly be best. its already on the path and has kill its camp already.
Settle blue dot sealing england in his zone. The hill in the west.

Ok - I've got the game.
It looks like a turn has been played as the ruins are popped and the English city of AIRBUS has been spotted. I had the chance to snag a free worker, but I dont think I could get them back with at least 1 warrior in the way. I really don't want to do anything completely stupid my first turn of any RB game either!
I moved away around the west of those 2 mountain tiles.
In the north both a barb warrior and an aztec jaguar are threatening our scout. I risked in an moved to the jaguar as we are not yet at war.
In the south, our warror is down to 2 HP, so I retreated him towards safety for healing. A full strength barb is ready to pounce, so this seemed prudent:
Moved the settler on his way. I am a little worried britain might park his warrior on the hill we want to settle.
We didnt talk much about technology, but I chose Iron working as our next tech. Swords are going to be necessary to take an early aggressive stance vs either one of our neighbors.
Other item to note: oledavy built the stonehenge!

messed up already. Didn't think the barb warrior in the west would hit warrior while he was waiting for the settler to catch up. It did massive damage, but did not get a kill. Now I am not sure the escort can even do its job. I moved him to the trees for now. Any advice how to get the settler to the river grass hill safely would be appreciated:
Also there is a healthy english warrior that will beat us to the spot. I can't imagine he would allow me to escort and settle with a 2 hp unit - even if I could skirt the barb. Perhaps I just need to sit and heal until it is safe.
Speaking of England, instead of grabbing the free worker, I moved him to scout the capitol. More confirmation that the mapmakers were truly unkind to the Americans:
As its the only way through that part of the world (and its more valuable to us then to them), I proposed OB:
found lots more wheat up beyond the aztec lands:
We also adopted Military Caste. Also in the fog-of-war, another aztec city appeared:
<snip> removed confusion about the demographics </snip> The land stats DID go up this turn and Aztec took the lead - but only by 1 tile, so someone has 3 cities as well.

not much happened-
All the action was with yuri:
1) Built the Great Library! As a result jumped even in score to davy and seven
2) rejected our OB offer
3) declared war with FLorence
4) made peace with Florence (not sure what the point of this was - perhaps to make some other city state happy with him?)
5) moved his warrior where i expected - right on top of our settling location. I opted to let our 2hp warrior (who is now covering the settler) heal up. Its a shame the barbs killed the spear a few turns ago. That unit could have sat on this spot and settling would be a no-brainer.
Up north located a barb camp.
The furs F&I hooked up give us tons of extra happy (14). We are #1 in approval at 100%!! (the rest of the demos are terrible)
I could work the furs right away, but only at the expense of another food. Instead, I am going to buy and work the only 2-food tile in reach and improve it asap. This should allow us to work both the furs and the gems and easily make up for the buy.
America is a pretty backwards place at this time.

F Me! I thought the barb warrior went off south. Somehow it went in the fog and I moved my warrior into range this turn. I didnt move my settler up as I don't want to risk losing both. Depending on how Britian moves, I might need to run the settler back this turn. Hopefully the barb will attack into my warrior and die. That might give me the opportunity to slip by if yuri continues to scout southeast.
Here's the tactical map there. Suggestions:
Oh this map doesnt show forrests. Anyway - my warror and settler are in forrests. The two enemy warriors are not. the tundra square SE of the english warrior is forest as well. My target point for the warrior and settler is 1W of the barb warrior.

In addition to the above situation, we met Vienna in the North and witnessed a barb invasion of their lands. If the barb wants, it can hit our scout on a hill. We met Seven's scout up there too. It is even more wounded than ours.

Of course, the barb in the north, who was apparently invading Vienna, attacked and destroyed our scout on the hill. It could have also moved toward 7's more wounded scout, but NOOOoooooooooooooo, that wouldnt be logical.
As for the situation in the west, the barb moved next to the settler and the UI told me I could decisively kill it with my nearly dead warrior. I did so.
So now, the entirety of the American Army is 1 2hp warrior. Also Yuri moved his warrior back to the hill where we want to settle I moved the settler in a position where next turn we can feint westward. If he fortifies, I will have no choice but to move southwest -- perhaps settle the crater first.

Yuri kept moving back towards his land - allowing our scout to "secure" the hill spot. It will still take 2t for the settler to build our 2nd city. The warrior will immediately garrison and the scout will resume sentry duty over by Britian.
I neglected to count the OTHER 2hp warrior i had garrisoned in our capitol to heal up. It is almost done healing. I will move him to raze the barb camp in the south next turn.
With regards to garrisoning, I am thinking that would be smart to continue to garrison when we can as it gives us +2 culture and +1 happy. 3 turns until we grow the capitol, so I built a 3t warrior to escort the next settler, which i will start on next. Iron working due in 5 turns. So planning on Warrior -> Settler -> Swordsman -> ??
Library then perhaps? or more swordsman if things are looking dire.
Also - I noticed that Seven spent a TON of cash this turn or last. I don't know what happened, but he went from 440 gold to 10 gold in a very short ammount of time. He has 3 cities - so he could have bought 3 units (archers are 140 and would fit). but why? perhaps he already has iron and is about to put a smackdown on someone. i dont quite get what happened, but it can't be good for America. I'll post something in the denouncement thread about it.
