Cheater Hater is angry about losing what must be more than half his workers. That is no surprise. It does not matter because I was building military anyway. I am now top on power by a bit and that will get more and more as I tech iron working in 1 turn and then HBR in one turn which will make my score look even more scary. Maybe the silly roman will realise I am kind by offering him peace.
My units at the moment:
He has 2 prats, 3 axe and 2 archer in the desert area. By time he can hit a city, I will have about 7 axeman, 2 spearmen and a chariot. My city has culture defences too so I do not feel scared.
I set him a trap. My worker finish a chop to finish the axeman. His prat can capture my worker next turn. I have moved my other two axeman to behind the city. My plan is he will take the worker and keep it because he only sees one axe in the city. Then I use my road to kill his prat and get my worker back. If he does delete him then I don't mind much. I needed to finish that chop so he did not have the safe tile to stand on.
I finished theology, next turn I bulb civil service and revolt civic.

Quick update. I was wrong about prophet bulb, he wanted to bulb divine right and I don't want to found that.
I build hanging gardens, next turn I build maosleum. The next turn I golden age and revolt civics. My cities are all very large means I have a big economy and food lead. I am second on production because I don't have forges but I can get metal casting in one turn.
That is boring for you though. More fun is war. War with Rome went well. I killed almost all his prats but a couple escaped and ran away. He keeps demanding gold for peace. My power is much much much higher than him and I can see into his city so I wont pay. I offered him a few gold per turn so I could attack Twinkletoes but he reject. No problem. We are at war but there is no fighting now. Rome is not important and never will be again.
China have been building up a massive army so I have gone full military again and reinforced my border. He attacked anyway which is surprise. I am 99% sure he will not be able to take a city and he cant pillage much that I care about because my cottages are not there mostly. If he moves in any more I will destroy his army.
Sumeria also declared war and captured my island city. He has 1 vulture defending but I will attack it next turn with an axeman and spearman. I will offer him peace then. I have moved 6 axes, 2 chariots and 3 spears to that border now in case. His power is very low though but he may feel brave because I am at war with everyone.
Not everyone. I am friends with the ottomans. I give them sheep because I have spare. I offer him fish too. His is the border that is very very weak and he is low on power. If I attacked him I could take 3 cities very easy. But for now I should stay at peace with one person I think.
In all this war, I have lost one city, but will capture it back next turn (It was a brand new city with no building), razed one more, destroy rome's army and soon to destroy china unless they retreat. This is lots of fun.

I might be in trouble. No idea what will happen. Dale has a enormous force at the walls. I have 90% of my military there. I don't care about the city that much but if that army is lost, my capital has no safe zone and no good army.
I got my island back from Sumerioa but this could be bad. He has 4 of the Chinese unit and stupid number of horse archer. this was a nice attack by him. I have lots of spearmen, axes and archers but I don't know how much the crossbow catapults will turn the tide. Without those, I win this easy. I do have walls. Wait and se for next turn then!

I might be persuaded to take over for you, at least in the short term. I absolutely must stop playing turns by July 3rd, because I leave then for a month of vacations. I know nothing about this game, and I haven't read through your thread yet ... although I do see that you haven't posted an update in over two months.
Could you link me to a post with the rules for the game? Important points being: Mod? Diplomacy?
Could you forward me a save to poke around, and the password? (my gmail is cornflakes116) If this is a no-Mod and no/extremely-limited diplo game then I will take over for you on the condition that I will stop sending turns on July 3rd. Also, my consistent play window would be 9pm-midnight eastern time US, although lunch break turns would be possible on some days.

I received your email, but I have been at work all day. I'm just popping open the save now to poke around. I'll post in the tech thread later about taking over, and I can even take over as soon as the next turn if the player before us shoots the next save over to me.

I just took a look at the tech thread and it seems that they are waiting for you ... was the save you sent me the current on? If so I'll inform the others and inquire about sending it on the the next player. Let me know.

Some questions related to the game (eastway will probably have to answer these himself):
1) how many GA's have you launched? I noticed that we have the Mausoleum. How many Great People would I need to launch the next GA?
2) has the Economics Great Merchant been claimed yet?
3) I see at Great Engineer born to you about 6-8 turns ago. What did you use him for?
4) Do you know if a legitimate run at the Taj Mahal is possible? (i.e. has AT had Nationalism for long?) EDIT: I checked the wonders screen and AT already built Taj Mahal
Mechanics questions - Lurkers can help with these
A) How many units can be drafted on this map size? Does Quick speed affect drafting, other than reducing the time for unhappy faces?
B) How many hammers does a whip provide on Quick Speed? And what is the optimal number of hammers remaining on Quick Speed in order to maximize overflow from a 2-pop whip (e.g. it's 31 on normal speed) ... I have never played a game on quick speed that I can remember, or if I did it was long ago before I knew the power of the whip so I never used it effectively.
[EDIT] C) what is the penalty that is applied when whipping wonders?

You can check the civics screen to find out the draft limit. A whip is 20 on Quick. The penalty on wonders varies per wonder, but generally whips on world wonders are half as effective and on national wonders are 2/3 as effective.
