[SPOILERS] B4ndit's thread (Darius of Ottomans)

You should definitely whip warriors here, so you will need to revolt to slavery right away. That also sends him a small signal that you're ready to fight.

Captain Hindsight always has good advice smile I will plan everything after work. With some luck, I will be able to hold this city. I'm 95% sure that I will make 3rd warrior before his final attack, because he will loose one turn attacking my first warrior. Nevertheless, 3 warriors vs 1 axeman doesn't sound good for me... because he will be able to heel after first or second attack with promotion :/

Yeah, there's no way even 3 warriors will hold him off. If anything, you may want to avoid giving him free promotions that make him tougher to deal with when you return. But you will definitely want to whip the city, both to deny him population he can whip and in order to get out more warriors for the counter attack later.

His axeman even without healing/promotions will roll over 3 warriors, so I don't think that producing any warrior is a good idea frown Maybe whipping settler/workers is more profitable?

I think that this could be predicted. With everyone having copper in the capital and so fast axeman production (3 turns). That was either bad judgment or too risky gamble.

The question is what to do next? If he doesn't raze the city, I will try to retake it at all cost. What if he does raze it? What do you think about:
- constant axeman production
- going for horseback riding (I have horses near the capital)
- constant horse archers production
- revenge! make him pay for this aggression rant

I don't want to play next year crippled smile If I'm going down, I would like to take him with me hammer

I'm probably the wrong person to ask, as I think you should keep playing to win smile If he razes it, I'd first replant it asap. You probably won't want to save your current settler for it, as you'd have to wait several turns.

If you can whip a worker out of it then that's great, otherwise whip out warriors.

That's an interesting offer. If I reject it, he will raze the city (it is the size of 1 so he won't be able to keep it) and replant his own, maybe in the same spot, but hinduism will be lost.

I think, I will accept this deal. I will plant 3rd (2nd) city the same turn (on the location we previously agreed) and switch full military. In ~3 turns I will be able to produce chariots. After 10turns I will declare war and we will see what will happen. Definitely I won't stop this conflict until I'm dead or satisfied hammer

Cities only autoraze if they have never grown.

I would reject the deal, as invading it means that he will have a few turns of rebellion to deal with. I agree with your proposed plan to retake it, go all out military until it's yours again.

Your advice was too late, I have accepted it. I have feared that he will raze the city.

In 3 turns I Peace treaty will expire. I estimate, that he can'not have any spearmans in my city (he doesn't have road connection to his capital), so best he can use to defend from me is his axeman, warriors or maybe archers. My warrior which is wandering around his cities spotted only 1 axeman in his newly founded city (southeast from my captured city), so presumably he only have one or two axemans in this area.

Just to be sure, my gathering point won't be visible to him, even if his border popup? Right?

Hopefully I will be able to retake my city and quickly capture his nearby city. If so, his capital is not that far away... I would be satisfied with taking those two cities and pillaging his capital.
