In that case I guess we won't be needing this sandbox.
I have to run.

Well I said in set up thread that I'm still twitchy about tight maps after PB15. I'll stay as a ded lurker and play the turns when you are away.
Looks like this game will be more of a technical experiment than a gameplay experience. I think the first 25 turns are pretty set already, so not much to do now except watch the chaos in the tech thread.
Wanna play a smaller, more spacious game on the side, where we take the mod for a spin?
I have to run.
I'd love to, I just lack time. I really shouldn't play a game until about this time next year do to RL necessities, but I suppose I could ded lurk one.
Personally, I'd rather just get a new map.
This is retarded. Looking at the sign up threads, Commodore stated that he has basically split the players into 2 groups, and actually put players that wanted a cramped game into a cramped place together.
So there are a bunch of players out there that are going to get weakened and become a tasty snack for other players? Really Commodore? Really? (March 12th, 2014, 12:37)Krill Wrote: This is retarded. MYKI or Nakor's neighbor is more likely to win than a cramped neighbor. Really.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out. (March 12th, 2014, 07:08)novice Wrote:(March 12th, 2014, 06:03)Krill Wrote: Well time to mail it in then. Worker>warrior, grow to 3>whip+chop second worker>OF 30+ hammers into settler, double chop settler finishes eot T33 with 1 warrior completed and capable of moving to second city site. Can go Fishing third prior to Pottery, would be done in time to chop a wb, or steal corn to grow to 2 and whip wb. Hunting also viable if animal res found. 3 chops used total. Growing to size 3 is only obvious choice with double food resources, as you said. Slavery not available for whip@2 due to tech time. Pottery is just slower.
That's exactly what I did too. It does seem like a very natural plan, just needs polishing for the best times to build, grow, revolt and slave. The whip doesn't speed up the second worker so it is possible to skip it, but 1-pop slaving away an unimproved tile is just great anyway.
Not much point in refining it until 15-20 turns from now though, and then we'll know where the next city is going too so we can plan for that.
I have to run.
