We still have options of not moving to that hill. If we want to share cap's res, sharing only cow is not the best idea. If cap continues building settlers cow is exactly what it needs, while fish is the weakest link. And contrary for the new city it iss important how swiftly you collect food into the storage. From the other side each city must attach something new. But detailed plan must put everything on its places. What city builds what for the next 15-20 turns? Settler also comes out with BW, so cooper can xhange things too.

I cant put screenshot right now, but it seems that the land is finishing there. I found only 1 clam resource in the addition to what we saw earlier.

The land looks like long narrow hub.
Last turn the lion appeared on the hill we wanted to settle. So it wont be easy and we need to start walking back with the only scout. Hope it survives bear hit and it wont block our way.

In all cases facing lion is risky and if it stands around we must consider settling closer even directly on horses.

Cooper was found on the green hill above cap (4th tile).
Bear wounded our 3rd scout (had about 11% to hit, but still did it), so I left it on position to heal. This turn lion showed up and can attack it next.

So I think that planting on the foresthill near deers is too risky and my inner feeling advises me to go to the left shore and plant near cooper borrowing cap's pigs. Next settler will come in just 3 turns and will for deers and/or horses, when the situation become a bit more clear and scout will be able to provide safety sight of surroundings.

The overall options are:
1. Plant where I described above.
2. Advance to the deers (strongly not recommended)
3. Plant on horses. Looks like a compromise, though it doest hook anything new, it brings trade route instantly, it plants earlier, saves about 1 turn of research, and doesnt block any other locations.
4. Plant in the forest near both horses and cooper. This is still a bit risky and will block other settling locations near cap to share its resources.

But we have 1 turn to decide. I will try to make some calculations in the evening.

And btw we met Darius of Ottomans. His scout found our borders from the other coast. He seems to be more lucky with animals (killed panter), he has got small sized city and he knows somebody else since he has spent only 3 points of espionage on us. Thats all informatuon I have collected so far.

Well, when I almost convinced myself that we need to plant on horses right now I moved on the wrong tile. I wont say that it is a sign, but losing 1 turn makes sense in my calculations, so I guess we move to the coast to take pigs and cooper.

Here is a settling plan for the next stage:

Short explanation:
- 1st city is just good and will provide us galley that we send to the west.
- 2nd city will share the main food from cap. Before monarchy there is no point in so much food in just one city.
- 3rd city can bring deers instantly to share between 2 and 3.
- 4th city brings clam and sheeps. Clam can be shared with 3.
- Almost each city can use more than 1 food and reach the best size quick.
- Each city hooks something.
- Good potential for using 2-3 coasts with each city.

Our friend Darius planted his second city on turn 35.

I agree with settling on horses being best on the east coast. It does not interfere with settling the rest of our small land effectively. We will settle all the 4 cities pretty quick and best thing is we wont need border expansion and will be able to hook all the specials with first rings.

I do not think it is a hub, more like archipelago, but we will see if my intuition or yours is better on this smile I think we need to send our (third and only surviving) scout to actually scout those peninsulas as there is where we will meet our second/third neighbor/s.

Who is Tim Nice But Dim and why is his name such? Fin/org sounds like nice target smile

Do you think we can go away now? Animals can interfere with our settling plans

Earlier I wanted to send a scout on boat. Discovering peninsula is not the main priority because with our luck it wont get too far

Tim Nice But Dim is Dantski. He's a character of British comedian Harry Enfield.

Some news:
1. Tim Nice But Dim of Ottomans, our neighbor, has completed Stonehenge
2. Buddhism has gone in far away land

Demographics also shows that Tim has just 2 cities with size of 2 and 1. Probably he has stone in the area and it helped him to perform this SH gambit.
