The thought process of some players is very interesting. One of my intentions with the 1 sea food/1 land food was to encourage this early decision making of Workboat first or Worker first, that some players are now pondering about. But I have to admit that this could have been done more elegantly. I notice (too late) that some players have considerably less to do for their worker then others. What I noticed so far are these distinct pre-BW-groups:

  1. Agriculture food with some non-forest hills: Those players have the most to do with their worker. They can build a farm on their agriculture resource, build a farm on their calendar resource and/or build a mine on a hill. Tiles workable: 3+. Needed techs: 2
  2. Agriculture food with forest only hills: The middle of the pack. They can build a farm on their agriculture resource and/or build a farm on their calendar resource. Tiles workable 2. Needed techs 1
  3. Hunting food with some non-forest hills: The lower end of the spectrum. They can build a pasture on their hunting resource, build a farm on their calendar resource and/or build a mine on a hill. Tiles workable 3+. Needed techs 3
  4. Hunting food with forest only hills: The worst for their worker. They can build a pasture on their hunting resource and/or build a farm on their calendar resource. Tiles workable 2. Needed techs 2
I'm not sure if 3 or 4 is worse, but more importantly is that this is an imbalance that I want to adress next time I'm doing a map. Or what's your opinion about that topic.

It's definitely a thing. Mostly, I expect the main issue will be religion; farmers can relax and maybe afford Meditation or Polytheism.

I'd love to hear Krill's move rationalization.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

Oh ok.

On such a highly balanced map anyone that has a slow leader is going to have to move otherwise they will be too slow to contest land. The starts are crap for some civs, so if they get shit rolls they likely have to move to get a usable start. This is just PB37 redux, Com.
