I have to keep reminding myself that this is how close I was to being out of this game.

btw. I suggest for caution. Even if taking down Bob would take 10T there is no guarantee of that and he might consider Bob cribbled enough and turn on you faster than that. You could try to find out from bob what is going on or send someone there watching.

Bob has 2 island cities that will be his last and he also captured a random barb city south of where the Amurites were last turn. Other than those I imagine the Clan will want to clear off the mainland and then re-route to me. Hopefully that will take a few turns yet but not long. Not sure if I can research Engineering at full pelt or not now to be honest. I may need to keep some cash in reserce for buying some troops. I forgot to upload my pictures last night so I'll report the turn later.
There have been developments...
I don't have the time or the energy to go into it all now as I'm pretty drained from all the typing messages. However, I have taken a deal with the Clan. The full details will follow. I don't know if this is the right decision or not. Actually, I don't care. Clan had won this game ages ago and I want to have some fun building Golems rather than just fighting now.
I am real busy at work and at home at the moment so I can't really update.
I am keeping all my pics though and I will catch up when things calm down. Promise. Square Leg Wrote:I am real busy at work and at home at the moment so I can't really update. Don't lie. You were at Trent Bridge. Krill Wrote:Don't lie. You were at Trent Bridge. I wish - I dropped 2 friends and my wife off on Saturday to watch the game before I scooted off to play instead. I missed a Broad hat-trick and we got trounced by about 80 runs in th egame I was playing...
THE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS OF BARNAXUS
Barny has dies no less than 3 times in this game. The first time at the hands of the Sheaim, the 2nd at the hands of a Barb warrior, the 3rd time was to the hands of the same barb warrior! He is a waste of space and so when he had another chance to go attack said warrior (who has racked up an impressive set of promotions now, I was indeed very surprised when this happened: 1xp! Well, it is a start I guess. I was going to raise this city but on checking the AC counter: Yeah - adding 1 more to that equation means blight will strike and I'm not ready for that. So instead I re-position everyone to go and take care of that group of 4 axeman wandering off towards Howls Moving Castle. I decided to play around with blinding light and managed to freeze 2 of the warriors in place here: Note the super axeman with 7! promotions... Way to go Barny! Then this happened: I discovered Military Strategy and got the free GC. Amusingly Iskender completed the tech the same turn as me but since he goes later in the turn order, he missed out on the GC! sorry mate! So, In order to level barny up I decided he needed a strength boost. The GC was on the move next turn towrads HC. Then this happened: I got 2 smokes near me too and lost no buildings! Here's hoping the mistform event doesn't occur in those smokes.... The 2 axeman that could move advanced and Barny FINALLY got his first taste victory: 4xp and down to 1.7 muscle. not bad. I have a little trick of the Luchuirp to help him out next turn. I held the remaining warrior in place so that he couldn't attack the city. In between turns the other 2 axeman joined him to make the stack 3. So Barny starts the turn on 1.7/6 strength. Promoting to C2: Casting repair: Attaching GC: And Barny is back and ready to fight! This time however we have the super warrior to defeat and Barny doesn't get odds that I am willing to risk... So I send in 2 catapults that withdraw damaging the 2 other axemen down to 3/4 health but leaving the top one untouched... Meh - time for a warriorpult. That does the trick. And Barny will be C3 next turn! Thus concludes our story today. |
